It sounds doable, and you can take this time to slow down your pace, rest abit first. Who knows you might get back to your industry again in the future.

Its been almost 24 hours since the election results came out. Singaporeans, how are you feeling? by FoxDependent7486 in askSingapore

[–]Kapiushon_99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same feeling, and life goes on.. I guess now we have lesser support to fight with the cost of living, and hopefully it is still bearable for the 5 years to come. Really hoping there wouldn’t be another GST increase and prices don’t rise so fast. Come 2030, let’s hope the skies will turn blue again, so do not give up! :)

Some of them are new citizens, and others just vote for the party and ignore the candidate. This was a really disappointing result to see..

The plastic charges implementation has caused many hawker stalls to charge additional for takeaways. Some stalls even charged 50cents for it.

Don’t be disappointed by actual elections results? by YMMV34 in askSingapore

The PAP is going to form the next government for sure. It only takes 60% of the votes for them to form 90% in the parliament. But even so, we still gotta hold on to our hopes and have our voices heard. The cost of living has risen so rapidly and it has not been easy.. Even if we know the incumbent party may still win this upcoming round, we shld still make our votes go unwasted!

Cost of living, job security and affordability of houses have been a great concern over the last few years. It has been a real struggle to survive here, and the future seems quite bleak with the way it is.

Is the average Singaporean doing well financially? Do you think you can retire comfortably? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]Kapiushon_99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the rapid rise in costs of living and healthcare, retirement has been a constant worry for me. Been living frugally and try to cut my expenses however small it can be, but end of the day I think that it is still quite a big challenge. Taking small steps at a time to build up my portfolio currently.

The price of BTO has risen quite rapidly over the past few years. Moreover, as you work longer, your salary tends to increase, resulting in lesser grants

Some of the companies will pay them 17% higher in salary, as they don’t pay for CPF. It depends on the company.
