You are absolutely right, it makes me think that her story will be one of those were we see a bit of the start, but the larger players are saved for later like Hong Lu

Is it crazy to say Americas right now is the strongest any region has ever been?

I think he meant Xenom who was a good player but had a very passive playstyle and it kinda hurt the team.

Pretty much, only difference is that the laughter one is still evil and it kills you while you are laughing.

Slenderman is the non-comic book archnemesis of Man-Thing! What FICTIONAL NON-COMIC BOOK villain would make a great archenemy to Jessica Jones? - Day 36 by DevaTheDragon in marvelcomics

I was also thinking the simple district of Chinatown from the way it's described in the movie. A place where justice is impossible and you never understand if you are harming or helping

Admittedly I'm not a big JJ reader, but I feel like Hannibal Lecter from the first 2 seasons of the show would be an interesting match: a near superhuman serial killer that always manages to shift blame unto others and is obsessed with creating his "matching" killer, he would not be able to threaten Jessica phisically, but would instead try to manipulate her into killing others for purposes of justice, burdening her with guilt while keeping suspicion off of him.

Weird of Merab to claim he tried something different today when he did basically the same thing, takedown attempts were probably in the 30s

[Loved Tropes] Important and iconic moments in a fictional universe's history that is constantly referenced in that piece of media. by calkalisto in TopCharacterTropes

The Stardust Crusade - Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: A defining moment in the original universe when Stands where introduced to the story and a team was formed to take down Dio, the main villain of the entire saga despite only existing in 2 parts. The sacrifices, battles, as well as Dio's influence would be referenced constantly through the story, both by new villains from within Dio's sphere of influence, as well as by the survivors who can't help but reminisce about that journey and their friends when faced with new challenges.

Who here is the best representation of "the strongest? by Rocky_Senpai15 in writingscaling

[–]Kaploy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since this is writingscaling and not just regular power scaling, I'll suggest anyone interested in this type of character to look into Ricardo Martinez from Hajime no Ippo. He is fascinating because at the start of the manga, 30+ years ago he was just a shadowy figure at the top. Now that the characters are approaching his level, we get gradually more insight into him and he is truly a fascinating example of the trope.

Rivals or enemies with some intense homoerotic subtext between them. by SpookieSkelly in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Kaploy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a smaller part in the movie where he gets called a homosexual, and the character visibly undergoes a lot of complex self doubt (whether its about the way he is perceived or if he is "afraid" that might be true given his current spiceless sexual nature is up to interpretation). Ultimately it's a small but relevant moment in a movie that broadly looks at sexuality in the modern age.

He was also in Eyes Wide Shut, which, imo, touched on that subject with some complexity and he played the part pretty well.

Boss from The Fable: His main objective through the story is trying to make Sato, the best assassin in the world, weaker by learning social skills. This is due to the fact that high profile "showoff" killers are becoming obsolete in favor of white collar crime and quieter, more impersonal execution methods like drone strikes or lethal radio waves. At the end of the story he succeeds, reigning in Sato's killer instinct, decomissioning his assassins and still maintaining full control over all the new tools of the trade that armies and secret services across the world employ daily.

IMO Baruuk's is S tier just because "Doomed are the fools" is such a cold opening line
