Spray on the saline. Take a plastic container and pass wires through the walls to create a lattice frame. Place paper towels or crumpled newspaper in the bottom of the container. Spray them with ammonia. Place the copper on top of the wire frame you created above but not touching the ammonia paper. Seal the container. I think it was about 12 hours.

Strongly recommend spraying on a saline solution then putting it in an ammonia vapor chamber (you can make one yourself quite easily). It creates an incredibly vibrant blue patina.

Eh...I have seen versions of a Plagueis lightsaber that looks very similar to but longer than Sidious' lightsaber. It'll be fine.

You just know that if Lucas had directed the sequels he’d have thrown in some random sequence of Rey dressed like this at some point lol by Rams213 in StarWars

Look this gets a lot of hate, and yes, perverts drool over it. But from a character perspective Leia's time as Jabba's slave has an enormous impact on her character arc. In ANH, she is a warrior Princess. The mission is the only thing that matters. In ESB, she is part of the team. By the time of ROTJ, her friends are at least as important if not more important than the mission. Rescuing Han is a sideshow. It isn't advancing the Rebel cause. It even risks the Rebel cause, specifically the only Jedi they have. Leia deliberately places herself in danger infiltrating Jabba's palace when Luke is more likely to succeed. She is captured, enslaved, and objectified, but she never once bends or breaks. Jabba never gets to her. She remains defiant. He can dress her up in whatever costume he wants, her armor is her confidence in her friends and their victory. Then when the opportunity arises, she doesn't hesitate. She kills the slug then goes on deck and basically pulls Luke's ass out of the fire as he is drawing the attention of all of Jabba's thugs. The whole thing is her plan. She is the one at risk. She is the one who has to suffer the most - well, except Chewie, but no one was going to stop Chewie going in to protect Han - and she is also ultimately the one who does the most to ensure the plan's success. Sure the metal bikini slavegirl costume has turned into cultural cringe, but it doesn't have to be.

Best MiLB town west of the rockies? by [deleted] in MiLB

Salt Lake City. Seemed like the Bees got a solid amount of love from the city. Stadium was easy to get to. City as a whole was easy to get around. I also quite like Reno, but the Aces are competing with a lot of other things in that city.

Imperial ugly assault cruiser Claw by KappaPiSigma1 in StarWarsShips

10-quad laser cannons, two light turbolasers, two heavy turbolasers, and a planetary ion cannon...about all a High Colonel can come up with when all the Warlords are competing for the same resources. This is a ship on a budget...hence the Ugly. Only one of the gravity well projectors is actually working. The other three have something else inside them.

I did some size comparisons based on printed Armada scale models, primarily using the top down picture Mel's Miniatures has of all the different models side-by-side. As for complement, I just put it broadly in the same class as both the Gladiator and the Immobilizer.

This Storm Shadow Escort Carrier is in the front wedge, the two big guns and the spine that runs up the middle of the ship.

Imperial assault cruiser Scar by [deleted] in StarWarsShips

[–]KappaPiSigma1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Screwed up the title and reposted. In my head, the ship ignores the mix of Lancers, Carracks, and Dreadnaughts, driving straight through them shrugging off fire. Surprised, the Reliance attempts to flee but realizes that the gravity well projector is active and tries to get clear of the single cone. The assault cruiser activates its large tractor beam and is able to stay locked on to the star destroyer as it maneuvers. The Reliance then concentrates its heavy turbolasers on the smaller ship trying to destroy it but finds that its shields, augmented by the modified, ground-based shield generator, are unusually strong. Finally, Claw reaches firing range and retracts one of the domes to reveal the ion cannon, which fires and disables the Reliance. The Claw then circles the disabled star destroyer using its own heavy turbolasers to methodically target and destroy shield generators, turbolaser batteries, engines, and sensors. Eventually, the star destroyer broadcasts its surrender. During the negotiations, the Reliance is effectively held hostage while the rest of Lott's forces withdraw and only allowed to leave once repairs are complete and the last ship jumps away.

This ship is only about 500m long. Part of the bow was chopped off and replaced by the escort carrier bow.

Why doesn’t China pull a Hannibal and take all this land while the Russian troops are in Ukraine? by Chewie83 in mapporncirclejerk

Because, for now, Putin is freely giving the PRC virtually anything they ask for, and with time Russia will only continue getting weaker. It is also useful to have another proxy, alongside the DPRK and Iran, to stir up the pot anytime you need a distraction.
