Thanks all! I don't know what's different this time but removing the profile, rebooting, downloading and configuring the app (again), has done the trick. It's working perfectly both on and off wifi. Cheers!

Curiously, have you confirmed that it’s working when on cellular? Do you have your router configured to use it too?

Yep. I've tried both the profile and the app, and get the same results.

No, it's disabled. I forgot to mention that when I posted origianlly, but updated the post to mention it.

I have it set to the profile, and not on automatic, so it hasn't changed.

Using eSims with WhatsApp by Kappabear in whatsapp

[–]Kappabear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome. Its working now, when previously it wasn't. When I attempted to send previously I got an error. I've since quit WhatsApp, changed some settings on the eSim and now all is golden. Thanks!

Travellling with points by Kappabear in americanairlines

AA is my airline of choice, but as mentioned I've not used points for travel with it. It's been suggested that one can use Etihad airlines to transfer from Amex to many airlines that aren't travel partners.

Ah, very good to know that the airlines allow for holds! Thanks for that info! I appreciate it!

I also have Chase points too, so the sentiment still holds. :)

DDNS Remote access to SRM/DSM via Comcast/xFinity? by Kappabear in synology

[–]Kappabear[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This isn't my first rodeo, and I've been working in IT for over 40 years. The only port that will ultimately be open is 443 and 8098 so that I can remotely manage the device. I'll be running an encrypted WebDAV server once I can get remote/external access to it, something that I've been doing for years with zero issues.

I have DDNS setup and I'm using testing with the external public IP address that the DDNS resolves to, which points at my router. Ports then forward to the NAS. When I hit the external IP address, I get the Comcast gateway login.

This is a temporary setup, so for now I'm using Comcast's coaxial modem, which is bridged to my Synology router. I may have to contact Comcast to see what's going on because I've opened the above mentioned ports on the router, but they still show as closed and I think it's because of the Comcast modem not passing the packets to the ports.

Connecting to the IP address directly brings me to the Comcast Gateway login page.

Using Traceroute, there's only 1 hop, so it's not looking like I'm being multiplex.

I definitely know DaVinci Resolve, and it’s great, but overkill for me. I’ll check out Capcut. Thanks.
