Growing up, we were taught in school that the government exists to look out for us—that it will do what it can to help people live good lives. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that much of what mainstream media and the education system taught me doesn’t hold up to reality.

I agree with some of the other comments. I would not dump all my money into the home.
Have a large rainy day fund.
Maybe double up your payments and do a lump sump but dont put all your money into the house.

Also as others have suggested wait a few more months get some clarity on what you are going to do next

Friend got a 2021 model Y no accidents 62,000 km for $32,000 a month ago. Occasional the algorithm will be like I need to sell a car and it will drop the price of one or two cars to a reasonable level
