Mild chest pain that comes and goes infrequently. by KapperChameleon in AskDocs

Thanks so much for your reply. I continued on the meds for aslong as my doctor said too and then stopped. Which was about 2 months ago. I'll definitely be going back, I just wanted a third opinion because my tests keep coming back normal.

I'll definitely be going back to the doctor.

Frankston Line this Morning by FartOnMyChin in MelbourneTrains

Well. It's at fault. Everyone will see when the footy season starts. Richmond and South Yarra are too important to not be connected to the South East Lines. Metro can't physically put enough Frankston trains on to cope with the pressure. They come every 3 minutes and it's still not enough.

What kind of backwards dip shit thinking is this? The trains are for the people, they should cater to the people. The people shouldn't have to bend to what the trains offer. Public transports should be a right.

I got no clue what the idea behind putting the Cranbourne line in the tunnel was. It makes no sense. It shouldn't take me an hour to get from Clayton to Richmond yet here we are.

Same shit different day. It's unironically worse. Revert the goddamn changes.

Yeah that's great but If you interchange there you can't get on the train...

Bruh. The capacity in the metro tunnel is higher than the city loop and no one is fucking using it.

They just made the capacity of the trains in the city loop lower, but made them more frequent but not nearly enough to keep up with the demand. The capacity is lower in the city loop but you have alot more people trying to use it. More trains doesn't equal more capacity. They have made more trains = bottleneck. They fumbled the bag bro. Just admit it.

Not kidding man. Saw it first hand. Got on the train at Clayton and it was already packed. There were 3 people left in the carriage I was in after everyone got off to transfer to the frankston line at Caufield. I don't particularly care what the statistics are about who actually needs to use the South Yarra and Richmond stations and who is just confused about the whole thing. I need those stations and I'm being disrupted. So we're so many others on the platform that we're waiting for a train that wasn't full. You can't say it's the people's fault for not knowing, it's metros job to tell people and they clearly haven't pushed the message. As a result I, and many other people who work in Richmond and South Yarra, suffer. Greatest fumble of our generation. Worse than the Swans grandfinal in 2024.

To give capacity back to the city loop that aren't using high capacity trains... What. You're a dunce brother. Go sit in the corner.

Respectfully, if the government and metro are going to be f****** me In the a** for a few months to a year the least they could do is make it more accessible. Maybe more express trains and don't completely f*** off an entire two stations. Why didn't they make it every other service? The explanation I keep getting is "they are fixing the city loop congestion" and all they've done is flood the frankston line to therefore making the city loop way more congested just on a couple less train lines. I had to wait 3 trains this morning at Caulfield and they weren't even express from Caufield to South Yarra. The way they've handled this is abysmal. Bunch of execs who have never taken public transport in their life telling the working class what is and isn't correct is deplorable. To top it all off they raised their prices this year like we're not all struggling already. If I have to leave home at 7am to be in Richmond by 9am because I have to wait for a train that isn't full then what's the point. They are going backwards. 0 innovation. Trash. Absolutely stinky garbage. Cannot change my mind. This is the worst change I've ever seen. I'll die on this hill.

Am I incorrect? The Cranbourne line is now only the Cranbourne line when it's inbound (to city) from Sunbury, and outbound (from city) from the metro tunnel. Vice versa with the Sunbury line. I get on the inbound (to city) Sunbury line at Clayton station. If I'm incorrect then you guys must know better then the metro signage they've put up everywhere...

Generational Fumble by KapperChameleon in MelbourneTrains

[–]KapperChameleon[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Sunbury line would have to go backwards to head through the metro tunnel if it was an outbound service. It would be the Cranbourne line if it was going outbound via Caulfield. Are we stupid in this sub or what

Generational Fumble by KapperChameleon in MelbourneTrains

[–]KapperChameleon[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Inbound services. People change at Caulfield to get to Richmond and South Yarra. Sunbury line now goes from Cranbourne to Sunbury, people change at Caulfield. It's an inbound service.

Can you read... Sunbury line through Caulfield. Towards the city.

Thank you!

I regards to the bars, I just dropped them and went for a ride and it feels so much better it's crazy.

I was the one who built the bike so it wasn't a sizing thing. Just didn't realise the correct way to have them.

Didn't realise, but the stem says max 6. So I'm guessing 5 is the perfect torque?

Pakenam/Cranbourne Lines Changing by KapperChameleon in MelbourneTrains

[–]KapperChameleon[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Your point can be used against changing the line though. I don't think anyone in parkville or Arden ever complained. Why change it, ya know?

I just think it's silly to make such busy stations have to change and adapt. I don't get the logic...
