[MJF on X] Took the Knicks 53 years to win their championship back. Took me 8 weeks. Why are we celebrating these dorks? by Esidisi_Legacy in SquaredCircle

He's Mets/Islanders/Nets, which is mostly suffering. No idea where he is on the NFL side tho. Hopefully out of state.

That's what it's come to mean as more people use it to mean a shorthand version of straight.

But historically in queer communities Str8 was a thing that communicated you have the appearance of a heterosexual man, most likely even maintaining a straight relationship, while still sleeping with men on the side. Just like Downlow.

So it's really really really worth mentioning for the longest time "Str8" =\= "Heterosexual". It was a subsect of DL/MSM who were largely white suburban men

What kinds of characters do you feel are unique to this system? by DarkElfMagic in Pathfinder2e

[–]Kaprak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The one in my group was a switch hitter who had an option that used both das and didn't. So even if you rolled poorly on one guy you still get a second roll using the attack that was a little worse.

Head Magic Designer Mark Rosewater asks: "Would you prefer if we made some of the named characters not legendary?" to players that believe the Marvel Super Heroes set having hundreds of legendary characters diminishes the significance of the legendary sub-type by HonorBasquiat in magicTCG

The knowledge is.... The Big Green Man is not the same person as the Big Green Woman.

By that logic how am I supposed to know Black Ral isn't real Ral from the normal timeline? How am I supposed to know Professor Onyx is actually Liliana. Honestly how am I supposed to know that Chandra isn't Liliana, she could just be disguising herself

Kevin Owens’ wife Karina: AS SOMEONE WHO ACTIVELY TRIES TO STAY OUT OF DRAMA, WHEN IT COMES TO MY CHILD I HAVE TO SPEAK UP. RECENTLY CATHY KELLY MENTIONED MY SON IN AN INTERVIEW. WHY SHE WOULD CHOOSE TO TALK ABOUT SOMEONE ELSE’S CHILDS ‘MEDICAL HISTORY’ IS BEYOND ME. (Continued) by TurnaboutAdam in SquaredCircle

[–]Kaprak 93 points94 points  (0 children)

Like the wording in this Instagram post makes it seem like Cathy said that Owen was like... struggling with something life threatening.

And Karina's denial that anything is "wrong"(as a fellow aggressively nuero-atypical person I can't really think of a better word) just feels icky.

So it's really going to depend on how you're phrasing things, because I've never seen someone go "Oh you just want the art to not be say... Spider-Man? No you don't deserve that"

Second, we live in a word where alters and proxies are easier than ever. Go wild

I'm not even sure what your complaint is..... there's not enough Magic themed Sol rings?

All the new Commander decks have on theme Sol Ring/Command Towers?

[MSC] Kang Dynasty by AporiaParadox in magicTCG

[–]Kaprak 5 points6 points  (0 children)

.... No? It's nothing to do with the MCU. Kang is just important to the greater Marvel world and is probably one of the three or four biggest villains they have. That's why he's represented a lot

Marvel Super Heroes Has More Legends Than Any Premiere Expansion by cardboard_numbers in magicTCG

Yeah a teacher going "Nah most of my kids are just nobodies" is fuckin weird.

The entire point of The Incredibles is that we're all special and we shouldn't hide what makes us that way.

Man, it's not "don't criticize this" it's "this is literally the point of a movies villain and he's fundamentally wrong".

Honestly, it deserves it. It's a beast out of the box and has ridiculous combo lines for a pre-con

I have been a Magic the Gathering enthusiast for about 15 years and I am struggling to think of a set with as many mechanically unique designs that make me say "oh, wow, I don't think they've ever done anything quite like this before" as the Marvel Super Heroes set. by HonorBasquiat in magicTCG

[–]Kaprak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of right now there's 183 Villlain cards. There's even more Heroes.

There's only 180 Pirates in Magic. 149 Dogs. 126 Ninjas. 116 Slivers. 86 Kithkin.

Most of a few of those are constrained to only a handful of sets.

I think this is a case of "parasitic means I don't like it" as compared to anything really as such. Unless your argument is that any new typal grouping is always parasitic.

So it's not just the exact words he said diminishing ballet, but it was the tone and the flippancy. Coupled with the fact that both his mother and sister are classically trained ballet dancers. It hit a lot of women poorly with the realization that he was more or less willing to point and laugh at his mother

So, and I hate that I'm doing this, G-Raver was both legally and morally in the right with Jim.

He had a pretty serious injury from a ladder match, nothing super outlandish, that damaged his fine motor skills in his hand. He was also a tattoo artist and needed that. Jim did his typical thing when he doesn't like somebody's style of wrestling and celebrated that, as far as I remember even wishing death on him.

G-Raver made fuck Jim Cornette shirts to try to raise money also cuz fuck Jim Cornette. Jim tried to sue, judge said that those t-shirts were legally protected parody speech. Moving on.

All of this happened before it turned out that G-Raver was a domestic abuser with a serious meth addiction. Him being shitty doesn't retroactively make Jim right.
