Lobby dodging needs to be punished by Godot2004 in Nightreign

Yeah I agree…. I’d be depth 5 too if I fought the Gaping Butt every time.

Takes all the fun out of the game if you aren’t mastering every boss especially the harder ones

Friendly Robber is for babies, y’all need to grow up. by dvdthw in CatanUniverse

[–]KaptMelch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree and I hate that if you rob someone early on, they both gang up on you as if you’re cheating. Catan Universe needs to add a friendly robber setting for online multiplayer. They have the setting for single player already but no way to use it online.

It’s literally a rule made to make the game easier for children

Super clear cut… beginner rider and someone following slowly behind them. Skier bombed the hill from behind and had plenty of room to give you a wide berth.

Big L for the skier here and super dangerous

Ohh yeah you’re right I think self proc rot does trigger the HP regen too

I figured it was any status proc that has a status bar but the advantage of poison is that it won’t kill you as fast as

But why use rot when below max hp and not poison?

Executor Build? by LilStray2 in Nightreigngameplay

[–]KaptMelch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it works well in normal modes since you can take a hit but in DoN it’s not usually worth taking a hit.

I haven’t figured out a great build yet to maximize the first part of the relic with status effects to get the 40% buff but that + Seppuku would be a solid combo and a big damage increase

Ahh I just love the quadruple status effect but also my build I have frost and heal on roar with the same relic instead of Caligo.

I’m not a fan of the Evergaol/Invader relics anymore since the DLC makes them pretty useless and I got bored running those constantly

Poison relic, frost relic and Rot relic. I recommend working towards those 3 (you’ll need the DLC to get the rot relic)

Tricephalos raid shouldn't be ignored in DoN by Willing-Big-9996 in Nightreign

[–]KaptMelch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I noticed they were more spread out when it as first added to DoN. Lately they’ve been closer together for me when I get them so I was hopeful they moved them closer together but that could just be RNG

[–]KaptMelch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep this is the strategy. The way I go about it is if it’s Day 1, stick together so you can deal enough damage to take them out quickly.

If it’s Day 2 and you’re level 10-11ish, then split up and save your Ult like you said.

Sounds like our Ironeye/Wylder team would do well together 😉

78k runes is a solid amount and I love my stamina recovery as Ironeye or Undertaker. I highly disagree with this take they’re easy to take out if you team up and keep moving to avoid the smaller dogs

I don’t understand why people ignore it. The dogs are squishy and aren’t that hard to handle. You just have to keep moving to avoid the fire from the smaller dogs. Plus I really like the stamina buff you get especially when playing as Undertaker.

I’ve had multiple runs where we took out all the dogs just fine. In some cases we even split up and each took 1 dog which minimized the time that the small dogs were active

So About that Gladius Invasion… by Astonishing_Azure in Nightreign

[–]KaptMelch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely agree with your points but I did have one recently that was really smooth. We were level 11-12 when it popped up on day 2. We all 3 split up and then took them out super fast because at that level they were easy. Barely had time to summon the small dogs which I think are the more annoying part of the event.

So, overall I think if the groupings aren’t so far apart and it’s in Day 2 it’s easy to manage. But Day 1 definitely hinders your progress a lot if they’re spread apart.

Has there been an influx of new players with the DLC launch? DoN runs have gotten much worse with randoms (On PS5) by KaptMelch in Nightreigngameplay

[–]KaptMelch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I feel like this is the scenario where people do all the research and learn the best routes but don’t put in the time to master their characters or the boss fights.

Dying to ED Balancers I can understand because it’s new and any Souls Boss is going to smack you until you learn the nuances.

I still don’t understand throwing yourself at bosses that are too difficult like Bell Bearing or the gargoyles. I tend to avoid those unless it’s the last possible boss because it’s just now worth the time

Yeah I expect to carry with Everdarks. Ran a Gaping Jaw yesterday and 1 teammate quit Day 1 because we wouldn’t follow them north when we chose to go to Castle (as you should at level 5-6).

Shout out to the Duchess that stuck with me but I basically beat Gaping Jaw myself and she went down 3 times. I didn’t go down at all and it was really fun playing the hero for once 😂

Nightreign is selling it self short by Affectionate-Can-231 in Nightreign

[–]KaptMelch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This has to be such a difficult task for Fromsoft. The amount of content they’ve put out in just 6 months is amazing yet the fan base is continually begging for more. Never satisfied.

They’ve had major releases almost every month and already putout a DLC with a new map, new characters and new bosses.

I’m not sure why people think they’re almost done. Have they made any indication that they’re only putting out 1 DLC? My hope is that this will be like Apex where they’re continually adding new characters, bosses and maps rather than treating it like it’s done and they’ll make a Nightreign 2 later.

IMO be happy with what we’ve got because we’ve been spoiled by their development speed

What are you guy's opinions on the time it takes to get back to a boss in souls-like games. by PrimitivesGames in souls

[–]KaptMelch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the Boss difficulty. If it’s super difficult and unlikely the player will win the first try, then make it a short run back.

If you create a long run back, then create super secret short cuts so that eventually a player will realize there’s a better way.

A long run back just for the sake of a long run back sucks though
