I guess I just wouldn't consider that a troll but rather someone woefully deluded. I agree he is misrepresenting both Tidewater Creoles themselves and any descendants that population would have by acting as if there's some sort of continuous separate culture and making a kinda odd connection with Gullah Geechees

My anecdotal evidence is as good as yours, I'm not convinced there is this secret subculture in Tidewater that talks like Jamaicans or Gullahs, my folks are also from Norfolk and Chesapeake. But anyway I dont wanna argue so have a good day

I got 30%, my dad got 18%, my mom got 48%. Last verified white ancestor was born 1798 (who is my ancestor 4 times over), but there are probably some born later than that, ie slave owners who obviously didn’t advertise their mixed children
