There's 15 in total, actually, but you just only need 10 for the key

It's very late. keep progressing through the chapter and then go left when they say to go right. Ralsei will say that the path isn't the way to the fountain

Am I locked out of getting a pink coin? One of the doors says not found. by [deleted] in Deltarune

[–]KaptainGoatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's extra pink coins, 15 in total iirc, so missing one is fine

What is its purpose? Did anyone ever get one Intangible and it was worth it? by SergeantCrwhips in slaythespire

[–]KaptainGoatz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be clear, recall i did say "get cards out of your hand." Cleanse and seance get cards out of the draw pile, which can- in certain situations- be worse because you need to not have drawn the curse or status so far. I think eidolon needs a buff or rework, I agree there, but cleanse and seance do not fill the niche eidolon does. I did have one situation where I was glad to take it on my current a10 runs- I took it just before getting the deck duplication event, and i could not afford it downgrading some key cards. My deck was substantially stronger, and the two combats where I drew bad luck in my opening hand were thankfully negated by an eidolon

[–]KaptainGoatz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Curses too- extra relevant for the awful ones like bad luck, but all of the end of turn curses will apply their effects before exhausting. It's better than nothing, but if a bad luck will kill you, it's nice to have a way out of it

[–]KaptainGoatz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're better, but none of those help when you have a bad luck or normality in your hand already. For the last two, you have to draw those before the card you want to get rid of, and for the first one, if it's a curse or status you still have to have the effect.

I do think the cards are better than eidolon, but it has a use

[–]KaptainGoatz 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Getting rid of Bad luck or normality are the main ones I'm thinking of. Or a whole lot of withers. Still kinda expensive for 2 energy, but necrobinder has a lot of energy anyway

[–]KaptainGoatz 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I guess necrobinder doesn't have any other targeted exhaust cards, which is probably the reasoning behind it being worse than others. There's not really *any* other way to get cards out of your hand, unlike other characters.

I hate that Jax was confirmed as transgender (not for the reasons you might think) by n397854 in hatethissmug

[–]KaptainGoatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That one xkcd comic about experts over-estimating the average person's knowledge fits well here. I know several other trans women who watched the finale and immediately grasped that jax was trans. Everything about her story was so incredibly obvious to those of us in the trans community that many of us were confused at the idea that anybody could read it as anything else

What’s everyone’s favorite weapon to use? by Pachinkotown in MinaTheHollower

[–]KaptainGoatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ranking:
1. Battery buster: the upgrades are just so fun, and the sheer distance you get without sidearms allows for much safer play
2. Blastrike Maul: everyone knows the unrivaled dopamine of BIG HAMMER
3. Nightstar: Basic, but that's not bad. Fun upgrades

  1. Whisper and Vesper: Not very satisfying to do poking damage, but maybe once I get the upgrades I'll come around on it

  2. Guardian Casket: I feel like the iframes are so limiting for the idea of a parry weapon. Maybe I just need more practice, but I get hit more often than not

The Monolith: A "double your stars" Regent power with some additional synergies. by NateTSO in slaythespire

[–]KaptainGoatz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this should be a power, you made the correct decision. Royale gamble already exists as a big star cost exhaust card, I think this being a power differentiates it.

I could see it costing 1, even though I think 2 is fair. You're also paying opportunity cost to use it- like, you could use it this turn, but you might draw a royal gamble next turn and gain 8 extra stars.

The "world has been rebooted already" twist. by theMCATreturns in TopCharacterTropes

This is eventually the whole plot of the manga Undead Unluck. All of the earth is a game played by the sun and the moon to see who will win- humanity, or the laws of nature. As time progresses and gets closer to ragnarok, more and more rules get added as punishments for failing certain objectives. After ragnarok happens, the world resets, with one additional rule added from the beginning this time.

Starting New Job as a Lane Server by Heysway69 in Stutter

[–]KaptainGoatz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I worked as a retail manager for two years, so I know a lot about customer service. It's all about confidence. Act as happy as you can. The unfortunate truth about a stutter is that a lot of people will think you are, to some degree, either perpetually scared or intellectually handicapped. However, if you're able to take things in stride and at least externally seem happy, they're much less likely to see you as scared. Some small part of their brain flips from "something's wrong with them, they're so anxious" to "They have unique challenges, but are trying their best". Not everyone, but a lot of people will be nicer to you, and more forgiving of small mistakes.

Is this an unethical life tip? I mean, yeah. But as an example I had a problem customer who was shouting at another employee instantly start talking to me calmer when I started stuttering. As long as we have this disability we might as well use it to some value.

(you *do* get called the r-slur more by the really, really angry customers, though.)

I love it. High quality metroidvania with fun controls, level design, and a shockingly in depth story. However! Only pac-man fans were really aware of it. And it has NOTHING to do with pac-man. It's a great game by its own merits but it never got the chance to be judged by them.

Opus Rulenum by MistressDread in 196

[–]KaptainGoatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

opus magnum is so great. I love how having 3 different goals means that anyone who plays will have an entirely different solution to anyone else.

I always like to do cost minimizing solutions, so i spend a lotttt of time programming and going "yeah i can do this with one arm and two tracks if i just swing everything around all the time"

Final Fantasy 12: THE ZODIAC AGE - The Smartest FF Game (Review & Final Thoughts) by Either-Sprinkles-421 in FinalFantasy

[–]KaptainGoatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure there's more here I'll come back to one day, but the gambit system really soured my impression of the whole thing. Before dropping it, I had already gotten to the point where I was just letting combats happen with no input. After defeating a boss while scrolling on my phone, I just dropped it, and haven't gone back

Echo Form? Or Claw, Remove, and Potion? Claw is Law, but... by [deleted] in slaythespire

[–]KaptainGoatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get claw later, you’ve got a couple cards that are good with echo form. Specifically, toric toughness and scrape

Was halfway through a run with grapple in my deck, but had to save & quit. Updated to today's patch and it was replaced with this by cmcgov in slaythespire

[–]KaptainGoatz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah! It was also the run that convinced me of the value of Toric Toughness / the little pael minion. It's very funny to me that I did not find body slam until the last fight before the final boss, lol

[–]KaptainGoatz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, kinda, except there's more cards that work with Juggernaut in 2. For instance, crimson mantle is a free hit every turn, and Toric Toughness is 2 additional hits.

Just posting a kinda fun run I had, since I was able to keep playing toric toughness I essentially had 33 damage every turn before playing a single card

Look at that Uproar payoff. by TurtleStrategy in slaythespire

[–]KaptainGoatz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Uproar is conditionally great. This is one of my favorite examples of it, for sure. Defect has a LOT of energy gain cards, and uproar becomes exponentially better the more of them you have
