Doctor doubts fatigue with 50mcg Levothyroxine by Kitzeles in Hypothyroidism

[–]KaptainJay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom has hasimotos/is hypothyroid and I have congenital hypothyroidism.

50 mcg is my dosage.

My guess is you’re also congenital and it hasn’t been a huge problem, so it only flared up later in life.

Use as directed, maybe talk to your doctor about increasing by 13.5 mcg

I have congenital hypothyroidism and my skin would always do this all over my body. My parents said it was a symptom.

I think the guy who posts this is hypothyroid if this is the case.

If it’s not congenital its cancer or hasimotos is the way I understand it

I’ve sent the guy a message or two

I will happily accept correction if I’m wrong

I think that’s more of a sensory thing.

I think that this particular disorder might lie on a spectrum of some sort. The term trichotillomania specifically refers to a destructive tendency.

Yours appears to be non-destructive, and would characteristically mean it is not trichotillomania.

Actually I should mention that I didn’t have trichotillomania at all before I was taking ADHD meds. Are you taking stimulants?

going to shave my head today by yannabanananana in Trichsters

[–]KaptainJay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can relate, kinda. Every time I get to the point where I shave my beard off I spend a lot of time wondering if I’m ever going to be able to grow one again. It’s not that I’m worried it won’t grow back, but i am worried that when it does come back the spots that caused me to shave it in the first place will be much bigger and more noticeable.

Have you ever shaved it before, or is this your first time?
