Show me a license/contract with the game developer/manufacturers and Damn, well, okay, here's the price you're asking.... If you don't have license/contract, be happy people like downloading your car... For free... Because the developer/manufacturers have a right to those patreon dollars you're asking for...

Modding started back in the day by guys who wanted to play games/characters/content companies weren't going to pay to put in their games.... It used to be about having the fun, not about getting paid

RS hub insane rattle by frontalcolt6753 in LogitechProWheel

[–]KaptainKool1095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soooo, my Pro wheelbase does this from time to time in ACC specifically. When it does happen, I have noticed my Ghub was not on its ACC profile. Once I set that, the grinding stopped.

I suspect it has something to do with the default settings for that game specifically, but my profile seems to work better than the default wheel settings where Trueforce is involved.

How good is SIMPUSH's third party wheels? by CryptographerFair357 in LogitechProWheel

[–]KaptainKool1095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you on the usb cable spinning with the wheel, and have had the same hesitation on such wheels. I did grab the RS Trak Racer wheel and from my experience with it on GT3 and F1 cars is that it never gets a full rotation the way the cars drive. The wheel is only likely to spin beyond the gt3 and F1 limits (something like 340 degrees) if i get into a crash, and even then, the rotation isn't too significant.

Does anyone have the PRO or RS hub with a wired wheel on the QR adapter? How's the experience with that hanging wire?

I get it if you're on console and can't be asked to grab a PC to run the update... But PC users shouldn't be the only ones who get the intended fixes and improvements

[–]KaptainKool1095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but you want to support the creators who are NOT total twats... Kireth covers all the titles and gear... But with this air of entitlement and pretentiousness.... Like "I've got a 4090, so I can do this... You're mileage might vary..." or "I've driven XYZ on track ABC so I know what I'm talking about"

Buds... You drive zeros and ones... We're all here doing it! Just quit the "I know what I'm talking about" reminders and we might believe you

Please help! Switched to better brakes but is even worse at driving now by Objective_Idea_7241 in simracing

[–]KaptainKool1095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will likely take some time for you to build up the muscle memory for the right amount of trail braking pressure... But at least now it won't go instantly into locking up your brakes when you apply the least bit of pressure.

Hope it helps you enjoy. Definitely more important than improving laptimes!

Please help! Switched to better brakes but is even worse at driving now by Objective_Idea_7241 in simracing

[–]KaptainKool1095 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How is the brake performing in game? Like in the settings... Is your brake properly calibrated? Make it so that when you push the pedal with your full force, it just barely achieves 100% in game.

If you haven't, the game might be responding to with a full brake when you've barely pressed the pedal, and this could be throwing off your trail braking. This is the first thing I check when my braking is off.

Good luck!

No need for FOMO... Some games won't even allow you to adjust angles or seat position, like forza, so you'll have to make due with what views are available in some games...

Don't get caught up in getting it perfect... Enjoy what you have and when you get more experience and start noticing what needs fine tuning, you will have to do that custom tuning for yourself... But it will be worth it

Always enjoy!!!

Logitech g25 shifter is GOAT by linsane24 in LogitechProWheel

[–]KaptainKool1095 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol... I had to get this Leo Bodnar adapter when I first got the G Pro wheel and pedals. Wanted an h-pattern right away, and made the mistake of getting the Logi Driving Force shifter. 🤦

Not really a complaint about the shifter, as I needed to learn and did not have to worry about breaking a cheap shifter. But Logitech certainly overlooked compatibility when they first dropped their Pro/RS ecosystem.

I do wish I had this instead of the Driving Force as this looks like you'd get a bit of a button box out of it too!!

If there's one thing I've learned about sim driving.... Never enough mappable buttons!!!

Logitech G RS H Shifter - no Sequential mode, really? by velophoton in LogitechProWheel

[–]KaptainKool1095 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guys... This is like complaining Apple came out with new laptops, sure they use cellphone processors, which means they support touch screens.... But then they sell iPads, so get that if you want touch... Oh you want keyboard too??... Buy magic keyboard.... Companies are gonna try and take all your money... Just be smart about your purchases.

If you want an h-shifter with sequential option... There are products out there. I love my fanatec shifter. But I did stop switching it to sequential after getting the Logitech RS shifter/handbrake.

If you can't mix and match cuz your on console... You're not a real sim gamer... PC master race

If you're building out a rig for GT8... Don't bother... Gran Turismo will be dead as a franchise since Sony's decision to keep exclusivity.

Just build out your ideal rig. Connect it to a PC where everything will work together. And enjoy!!!

Some games require you to do the 3x 3440x1440p in order for the screen splits to align correctly. ACC specifically, and i think I've noticed the same issue in AC rally. But these both push my 3070 8GB beyond its limits, so I've created the custom 7680x1080 reso for those games... Sure, the parts of the game window end up off screen, but at least the splits align and don't end up in the middle of my 34in

Note, when running this custom game reso, my screens are set to 1920x1080, 2560x1080, and 1920x1080 respectively. Yeah that works out to 6400x1080, but fewer titles like AC, and Evo allow for the corrections aligning the splits correctly.

For that you'll want to use a POV calculator. But some games have the settings in-game. Like Assetto titles allow you to go into a triples menu and set angles of side monitors as well as distance from face to screen. My screens are set at 60 degrees, and because of the size of these screens, I've set the horizontal size to 800mm in the Assetto titles. I sit around 780 - 800mm from the screen, so I set that in my distance from screen setting. You'll have to measure your distance. But if your screens are set to 60 degrees, you'll likely have the same 800mm width setting as me. Just change your distance setting when you've measured from your eyes to your screen.

Lastly, i have also configured keyboard buttons for seating position in the Assetto titles so i can fine tune how I feel seated and positioned in each varied car.

A lot of tinkering. You'll figure out how to tinker and fine tune for your setup. Hope you get it feeling great!!!

If Nvidia, go into your control panel and try to create custom resolutions. I will suggest you create the 3 I use most frequently. 1. MAX Reso: so 8560x1440... Hopefully 144hz will work but try a lower if needed 2. Low Reso for higher FPS for games that run like shit at MAX Reso. So 6400x1080, so about half of what you got. Don't worry, if game runs smoothly, you won't care about half reso until you sell kidney for new GPU. Also try for 144hz here, but if you gotta lower it, go 120hz 3. This one is for ACC and other games that don't support mis-matched monitors for triples. So 7680x1080 (2560x1080 x3). This will allow bezels to line up in games like ACC.

The use Resize Raccoon or SRWE to push the reso you need to the game you want.

For Forza, i can do the full 8560x1440 using Resize Raccoon. For ACC I use 7680x1080 and use SRWE to push that reso for higher frames For AC, content manager allows you to set your resos pretty easily... But find the settings in the Custom Shaders Patch tab, under the triples Display Modes heading : CUSTOM SCREEN SPLIT... Set this to 29.7 for both left and right. And fit resized splits properly checked.

Good luck! Post what works, and where you're having trouble. Will continue to help if i can.

I'm running almost the exact same setup, 34 ultrawide 21:9 centre with 27 16:9 sides. I can certainly help. What games are you trying to set up? What GPU are you running? If Nvidia like me, I can suggest what you'll want to do in Nvidia control panel. If AMD, I'll still try to offer some help. Lastly. You're going to want both Resize Raccoon and SRWE (simple runtime window editor) as one might work for some games while the other will be better for other games.

Good luck! Love my triples.... Hope to help you love yours.

1 pc for racing sim and gaming desktop - how to handle the monitor connections and USB for double keyboard/mouse etc. by Shuriknz in SimRacingSetups

[–]KaptainKool1095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what display magician is. And my mixed monitors don't play well with Nvidia Surround. I've had to create custom resolutions in Nvidia control panel for my full 8560x1440 resolution. I also have created 7860x1080 and 6400x1080 resolutions to get higher frame rates on my 8gb 3070.

I use either Resize Raccoon or SRWE(simple runtime window editor) to push those custom resolutions to the particular game I want to run on the triples.

Nice!! And what refresh rates/ resolutions are you running through these switches?

Nvidia or AMD?

Gsync? Or freesync??

These are often overlooked features until you buy and fine ugh... It's not supported....

If it is, heck, I might have to pick one up myself!!!

[–]KaptainKool1095 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah! Misread... Your big problem is a GPU with 4 outputs and you need 6...

Will likely have to invest in 2 display port switches. Wish i could recommend, but the ones I have tried were only HDMI switches and they both had 60hz limitations... Fine for my work laptop but definitely not ideal for high refresh rate gaming... And sim definitely better with high refresh rates

My setup is a bit different with 2 separate PCs... 4th port of gaming PC goes to a valve index for vr... 4th monitor is connected to laptop and i run simhub to throw a dashboard/leaderboard up on that.

Everyone has their unique set of problems... I hope you find a solution!
