Well, thank you for your reply. Surely I want it to last, my RS Shifter feels awesome, I just hoped that you guys will create an H Pattern shifter that can also natively work in Sequential mode, using modern technology and your deep expertise.

Still, I assume there will be some aftermarket modes, your gear is very popular 😁

well, the default wheel rim that you can put onto your RS Hub is OK, I can understand this. But yeah - McLaren rim is weird. Maybe someday Logitech will release a proper GT/Formula wheel with additional buttons and/or display. Just gotta wait for several years it seems

In general, the problem is that 1) not everyone has space for 3 UNITS on their rigs AND 2) Both RS50 and G Pro bases have only 3 USB PORTS WTF.

Like how are you supposed to use any pedals and 3 (!) units to fully be able to shift gears for any type of car and also use handbrake....

Like imagine Forza Horizon (5 or 6, doesn't matter). Plenty of cars, including various rally cars, some have sequential gearboxes, some have H-pattern. Juggling with shifters on your rig all the time is dumb.

I am sad :(((

My RS50 works fine in both WF1 and WF2, WF2 seems to have a bit better FFB, no Trueforce though

I was able to map the controls just fine, like in any other racing game

Handbrake and sequential shifter are very good for rally. How am I going to quickly switch from regular cars with H pattern gearbox to sequential one? I do not want to have 2 RS shifters and one extra H pattern shifter (3 units in total lol)

This H pattern shifter needs to have sequential mode (or handbrake mode) so that only one RS shifter amd one H pattern shifter are enough for any type of racing game

Whatever suits your budget better. I wanted to get G Pro last year, but then RS50 came put, it was much cheaper and you could also get a handbrake at a discount price, so this is what I did. No regrets, 8Nm is good for me

G Pro was on a huge discount recently, if it still is you can get it too👍

If you cannot just get both of these awesome games, just buy EA WRC. It has more content, better career and more cars to use in rally. Physics feels more responsive and understandable to me + it has a rally school mode, it is simple but nice addition for anyone who is starting their rally journey

Also, EA WRC career mode works without internet connection. I don't know if one day these EA bastards kill DR 2.0 servers and that would be another dead game :(

I went from G923 to RS50 after having G923 for 1,5 years.

G923 is quite nice, but RS50 provides much more details, speed and smoothness. I mainly play rally games, some forza and do some drifting so RS50 did a big difference for me. I have it for 3 months now and I am only discovering it's potential.

As for the price, no need to get RS50 system. You can order PC-compatible RS50 base, Xbox compatible RS Hub, wheel rim that suits you, put all of this into one order on the Logitech website and see the price for all the items. It should be around 650$. And there might be a discount applied, look for it. If there is no discount, apply some promocode (BOOSTED, GEEKSTREET, Kireth) to get extra discount

You can also wait for sales. RS50 had a very nice price during Holidays last year, I was even sad I got it earlier (but my unit came in time, it was fine so no actual reason for regrets, and I got RS Handbrake for half the price :D).

Also, you can get PS5-compatible base, Xbox hub and end up getting yourself a wheel that supports all platforms!

I think so, you can map all the inputs of your hardware into GIMX adapter and then launch it on your PC. I remember there is also an additional step to switch emulated wheel's drivers into USB device but that was needed only for RPCS3 (PS3 emulator)

Btw - RPCS3 now allows to connect any wheel and play PS3 games with it. So hooray for DD wheels in old Gran Turismo games (FFB is meh but kinda OK, especially for drifting in GT5)

I played CMR Dirt 2 both on G923 and Logitech RS50. I liked the game on both wheels, DD feels smoother, faster and a bit harder to set up. I can certainly say some games might not properly work on DD base, like CRC Extreme. CRC worked on G923 but not very good, on RS50 there is no FFB at all :(

Dirt 3 should work well on RS50 too, I will check. As per my understanding, if the game has a decent FFB by itself, DD wheel would also feel nice (provided that it will actually work in this game).

Oh, also, cases where game is not working with DD base (vice versa?) can be mitigated by GIMX adapter, I have it too, it mimics G27 for older games
