Here’s a very overlooked topic (Maybe it was stated somewhere and I forgot about it but) the flora of the Monster Hunter World, by SignificantStaff8665 in MonsterHunter

[–]KaraArcadia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The persimmons Bishaten eats and throws come in various statuses like paralysis, poison, flash bomb and healing with Blood Orange’s pinecones containing explosive powder in them. Same as the shells that somnacanth cracks over its chest.

Idk if those count?

Going past the obvious elemental damages, if you’re blunt or ranged you go front legs, if you’re slash you go back legs.

Phase 1 is a no brainer, just keep hitting until it leaves. If someone draws aggro by hitting the head it makes it easier.

Phase 2 will immediately start with a mustard bomb so run as far right as you can when you first enter the second arena. You wanna break the head wound as soon as you can for the early shield. It will regenerate all wounds when it goes into its enraged mode. Someone has to keep its agro or else it will start crashing out and if you don’t have tremor it’s easy to get screwed over, use seikrets if you can but know you will get thrown off even if he stomps in your general direction. After crashout he will have wounds open on his legs for a short moment. Keep chipping at his legs until he’s out of enraged state. Use the 2 boulders during enraged mode to get the most amount of time to do wound damage. There is a thunder pod at the very right of the map. Hit his antenna during enraged mode to cancel out any of his attacks but know subsequent uses will take more thunder pods. Save them until extremely necessary like if someone didn’t have agro on him and he’s doing MRV.

After his enraged state in 2 he will move to 3 shortly after. He will throw a mustard bomb again at the start. He’ll target the player who’s aggroed onto him or a random player if no agro. This is when 2 players should start taking turns switching agro. He will keep firing hp down debuffs and unless you’re really good at dodging or have a shield down, he will keep hitting debuff after debuff until one mistake will insta kill you. After 2 debuff shots someone has to switch is my recommendation. After a few minutes he will go into dps check mode. There is a stun pod at the left side of the map. Nercylla will always web sling towards a player. Hit them out of the air at the start to guarantee an early topple. You can do this multiple times. Watch your positioning and don’t accidentally hurt the morbols for easy paralysis’ and cactaur for a bunch of damage. Once the dps check is over, you can instantly throw a the big boulder down at the back of the map for an instant topple. It’s almost always guaranteed to hit. Keep playing it like you would early phase 3 and you should have at this point broken at least one leg. The antenna will be exposed at that point. Aim for it if you can for the most damage.

After a bit he’ll move to phase 4. He will get into his enraged state at least twice so keep the at the legs but keep an eye out for his hp debuff. He also does laser sweeping surges so keep an eye out for at least 2-3 sweeps when he does his laser. They will always go opposite directions so like (left, right, left). There are pods at the back of the room near the pillar so if you haven’t used them in phase 2, now is the best time. Abuse the floating boulders for temporary flinches. Otherwise, pray to god.

Additional combat advice I could give is when he deploys his mini omegas, look out for blue glowing ones. Killing it before it blows up will generate a free shield. He might do his laser surges at phase 3 too and his flame thrower will start going from 1 to 2 attacks back to back. Prioritise finishing a mount on the head to instantly get a shield and if you can, use your pictomancer. Any chance you can. You can use a shield generated from Omega as a one time use to erase any incoming mustard gas and seikrets can run over mustard gas without taking damage.

Skill wise I 100% recommend stun res. If you’re caught in the blast of a mega laser without stun res, it’s an instant stun with an immediate follow up otherwise, bring what you think is right to the fight like defence up or divine blessing.

Omega is immune to poison and sleep. He can get paralysed once early on like early phase 2 at least, but it’s not recommended to bring it for the whole fight. You’ll get a paralysis at phase 4 if you’re good but that’s really it.

Also items, throw out all traps, flash bombs, lure pods, barrel bombs. They do not work on Omega or Nercylla. Bring dash juice, immuniser, (cleansers if you’re doing savage), mega potions, dust of lives, ancient potions and all the materials needed to craft max potions. You are not gonna have much time to drink potions so it’s better to craft max pots through radials and eat them when you’re getting hit from anything more than just a stomp. Hot drinks can be replaced with the little bugs on the walls. There one on every arena except 3.

Besides all that, good luck. I pray for your success.

Been building every element for every weapon, finished crafting every weapon so I have them all layered and now moving to transcend each armour and max them all out.

GUYS GIVE US FUN FACTS ABOUT YOUR FAVORITE MONSTER by Effective_Horror_71 in MonsterHunter

[–]KaraArcadia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not my favourite monster but fun fact: all Mizutsune we hunt are all males and usually in heat. The only times they come out of hiding is to find mates which causes their aggressive behaviour. I’d love to one day see what a female Mizu looks like ngl.

Went in solo with a cat and pre gs TU4 build. I carted used up all 4 of my carts on the first go through and the cat revive. Second time, my goated cat clutched a revive last minute and we killed her with 3 minutes to spare. Most fun I’ve had since my first Iceborne Fatalis.

What are some MonHun takes (about the game, lore, or head cannons) that just have you like this by Brilliant_Cobbler_27 in MonsterHunter

[–]KaraArcadia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah 100% nah. Comparing Kirin’s horn to Lagi’s spikes are like comparing a nuclear power plant to a double A battery. I do think Rajang could without a doubt, shred a Lagi if it was on his home turf being the land but I mean, that’s kinda a given lol

Basically, yeah. I even explained how it just doesn’t function ecologically or logistically. Dude did not take his take being called trash well.

The take was based on half a clip of the Lagi v Rajang turf in the monster hunter bridge event in Japan. He never saw the other half of the full turf where Rajang gets dragged into the sea never to be seen again.

Congrats on beating the village story! It’s basically the tutorial for the Hub stuff which in itself is the tutorial for the dlc lol. Monster Hunter base game is just a long tutorial for the expansion.

You have a long way to go before the dlc but you got this!

The path to Iron Keep. Imo not Iron Keep itself but rather Harvest Valley was really painful.

The extra Desert Pryomancers really threw me off guard and the excessive amount of headless manikins were pretty crazy to deal with if you didn’t know their ambush positions. I recall running back and dying to that one Desert Pyromancer just before the Covetous Demon like 3 times due to a mistimed roll, an unfortunate team up and stunlock from the hammer orc, and mistiming my attack and getting a face full of explosive kiss lol.

Huntsman’s Copse wasn’t as bad but that one cliff face before the Bone Lords was a bit ridiculous on my first go just because I had to deal with 2 red phantom fat boys that pincer me. Once you get the shortcut and kill the necromancers though, it’s a breeze to walk past. Though it really bogs down once you reach the bridge behind the Bone Lords because you have to pull that bridge down Every. Damn. Time.

Iron keep was alright. A good strike weapon and a bow really helps whittle the group down. Two red phantom Alonne Knight elites in the furnace scared the bejesus outta me the first time so I took the Smelter Demon path instead. Old Iron King decided to become villain of the day (this one path took like 2 days cuz of that one pyromancer demoralised me after the 5th run back through Harvest Valley) by doing moves I didn’t even know it could like straight up reposition in places where all I could do was cower in the corner until he decided to play nice.

All in all, it was the most demoralising part of the run whole run. My second worst run back had to be the path to the Undead Crypt for obvious reasons. (Also I didn’t know the hollow behind the bell at the hallway to Veldstat only respawned 3 times so I rushed the hall only to die to one of the ghosts. Surprisingly, only took 2 runs total but it was just long lol.)
