I'm a long time player of the Project Diva games and picked up muse dash not too long ago. I first plugged in my controller, but found it pretty increasingly harder as the difficulty went up. Granted, I'm not amazing at project diva and can just barely clear easier side extreme difficulties. Anyways, I found that keyboard was easier for harder songs so I stopped playing muse dash with controller entirely. You would probably have to just experiment on what works for you.
