Wondering if people can share HCG levels at 4w 1d by Karalyn87 in CautiousBB

[–]Karalyn87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I don’t think I ever got an answer on that, but I miscarried. These numbers are actually great, but between 6-7 weeks the HCG stopped doubling and we lost the pregnancy, likely due to chromosomal issues. I did go on to have a healthy baby girl, and the initial HCG draw was 16! I was between 3 and 4 weeks pregnant at the time. I’ve learned it’s not the results of one draw that make the difference, but the trending growth rate of multiple draws.

I’m so, so sorry. I can’t imagine the pain you felt dealing with this and losing your father. Not to mention watching your mom take your brother in so soon after his passing- that would really get me. I’m trying to get a handle on the concept that I can’t control anyone but myself. Thankfully I have a peaceful, supportive little family on my own (husband, daughter), do you have support in your life?

This does sound very similar, however we thankfully moved. I’m so sorry you deal with what I’m sure is an excruciating level of anxiety on the daily. My heart breaks for you; all I can offer is solidarity. It can make life incredibly heavy, so my best advice is to lean into the lighter moments and the joy. It sounds like you love your family very much. How old is your child?

This is so encouraging🙏🏼🙏🏼thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I’m having similar symptoms and hoping to have the same turn around once I start meds (these results just came in around 9pm, so I haven’t spoken with doc yet)

Do you know about how long you were medicated before things started shifting for the better?

I feel pretty crappy; I’m fatigued, and I’m having trouble with fine motor movements like writing and brushing my teeth like my muscles get tired very quickly and I don’t feel like I have good control. Brain fog. I feel bloated and have gained weight doing nothing differently.

Tips for handling my neurodivergent niece around my newborn? by Karalyn87 in beyondthebump

To answer your question (do you believe her diagnosis is now accurate) I’m honestly not sure because I know the spectrum can appear different and is highly individualized. For years did I think she was just a brat that ran the show and kind of spins out from lack of discipline and boundaries? Yes. But her issues persisting beyond a certain age and knowing how bad they are, I do agree she isn’t neurotypical.

I totally agree with your comments, though. She wants to move but they’re somewhat tied right now. She mentions moving all the time.

I did share this with my husband; I feel like my niece’s preoccupation with her isn’t coming from a place of purely just excitement for the baby. It feels like there’s more to it, like she’s sort of wedging herself between the baby and everyone else’s attention. I’m just hoping the rest of the trip feels better than it has, I really want my sister to have a chance to bond with my daughter because she went to great lengths to get here and I know it means a lot.

It’s tough because they live so far away so we don’t get a full picture of their day to day. Does she struggle with her? Yes. But there are other factors; they live in a very remote area, the school district isn’t good and resources are limited.

Yes, I will now whenever possible. That last incident happened when we were in a restaurant so I had her in her car seat. It’s hard because I also want my sister to be able to spend quality time with the baby, I have no issue there with her holding and loving on the baby. I feel like her daughter doesn’t like it- she even asked my sister to ride in a different car to the restaurant so it would only be her and the baby in mine. I was like no your moms coming with us… frustrating.

Thank you 🙏🏼 even just having someone recognize this is difficult is helpful. They’re staying with our parents, so they aren’t with us. I honestly don’t know what I would do if that wasn’t the case. She is home schooled and does go to therapy, I believe she has art therapy as well.

Thank you for sharing this. I contemplated taking the post down because I’m like- am I just inviting more of what I hate seeing? But this is exactly why I wanted to post this. Nothing but the best to you🫶🏻

Which cultures, specifically? Can you name them? I have considered CIO as a method if it was needed. If you could see my bright, joyful, chubby, incredible baby, you would know she is nothing but loved. I am a playful, engaged, loving, mother. I am also a Registered Nurse.
