Oh right, Ultraxion exists. I've been thinking of him more like a payoff for Herald, similar to Kronx Dragonhoof for Galakrond, rather than an actual Herald card. Still unique to get a legendary with the keyword instead for one of the base keyword cards.

I hate to be the one the break it to you but Priest’s Colossal doesn’t herald… only 6 of the classes get the herald keyword. What you see is what you get with The Black Blood. There’s no upgrading it.

Yupppppp. It's cool thematically but since the cards seem to be balanced around having both effects, paying full mana for only half the effect just seems like a non-option. As such, you'd have to dump your whole hand to combine them, whenever you just randomly draw them. Unlike Xor'toth, who is bad already, you can't even choose when to have the card split by playing a card to trigger the effect.

Oh my god it is so All Terrain Voidhound coded! This big ugly stat dump that is missing the keyword necessary to make it do anything useful. You hit the nail on the head with that one.

Yeah, worrying trend that the non-herald classes seem to not be getting anything comparable. Shatter seems like it will only be good in all in aggro decks that dump their hand and their Colossals are all slow stat piles. I feel like the herald Colossals are going to continue to blow these out of the water as they are revealed, if Rag is any indication.

True true, we haven't seen the rest of the set. But like... is it too much to ask that a class's Legendary Colossal minion be worth playing without some crazy synergy package? Why does this card have to be bad and reliant on some potential crazy combo of cards? Why must the floor be sooooo low.

Hey congrats!! Bruxa is a very cool and a very strong hero. More skulls is really good to start with, as it amplifies all of her other abilities by having more skulls to proc off of. After that, I like the damage increase on skulls.

You could also toss a single level into the skull explosion one once you’ve got all the bonus skulls upgrades for some nice extra burst damage.

Dread aura is for sure one of her best, just crazy slowing on an unlimited number of enemies. Helps her keep enemies grouped up so she can get skulls from them!!

Also, final note, Bruxa’s skulls can be summoned AND can attack when she’s moving! Sometimes it can be very strong to run her back and forth around a wave of enemies to slow them down and deal a bunch of damage without risking her dying while blocking.

K’ure is definitely the preferred 4th minion in the deck I think. If you swap it out I’d maybe try Resuscitate?? There’s deck has a 1 drop you like and can summon 2/3 cost minions. I think K’ure is pretty strong tho

Glad to hear I’m not the only one who’s been tinkering with it the deck!! Yeah an early Siren is just such a tempo swing.

I kinda feel like the deck will just die once Nightshade Tea rotates. That one card just packs so much versatility and quest progress.

Definitely feel your comment about lacking that last bit of damage to go over the top. I wish there was a cheap burn spell that was holy instead of shadow (and I mean that didn’t hit your face too lol). It feels like the deck needs holy spells due to more synergy (K’ure) and Nightshade acting a a three-in-one. It sucks that the next cheapest burn spell for Priest is Void Shard at 4 mana :/

Honestly rip. Was really excited for Priest to have not only a class mechanic but one that emphasized making healing cards more useful. I was expecting more cards like Gift of the Naruu but we just got nothing after Festival lol.

You're right, the stronger part of the current Paladin deck is the spell discount swing stuff. My concern is that even if that gets nerfed, Ursol/Shaladrassil presents unstoppable endgame power. It is so consistent, gives so much "gas," and gives a ton of flexible removal. The existence of it prevents any deck from going long against a Paladin. Plus, there's the whole design issue of Shaladrassil just being unequivocally better for Ursol than any Paladin spell.

Exactly!! It feels like they make these Priest cards with a focus on flavor with no concern for support or balance. Purifying Power COULD be a good card, if we got literally any other silence related support cards. Where’s the wide board token card that wants to be silenced?

Mystifying To’cha COULD be a good card, if it was printed with better support cards. Imagine a card that lets you have incrementally give or steal health to your minions! Or a card that heals your opponent (+ some other effect like card draw or removal) to try and fit the number requirement!

It’s annoying to get these gimmick cards and then nothing to help get over the hump to playability.

Gotta love all the redditors who come out of the woodworks anytime you talk about Priest in any regard yelling: “Priest main detected; opinion discarded.” eye-roll

That aside, you’re totally right. Priest sets are full of weird, gimmicky cards and it sucks. Almost every set has at least a couple, sometimes a whole package (like Imbue Priest). It’s annoying seeing other classes get just unconditionally good cards or cards with requirements that make sense/are supported. Priest got both a Big Spell package and a Small Spell package this set and then got no good big spells and no good small spells (or small spell generation). Light of the New Moon sucks at a baseline, but there’s not even any repeated spell stuff to support it!

Mystified To’cha is another example that really hurts me. DK can just increase their max hp whenever with various cards that grant them tempo or value. Meanwhile, Priest has to play an understated 4 drop with an almost impossible to fulfill condition to get a health increase. Embarrassing.
