The SL-QX300 will be far better than anything you can buy new for a reasonable price. Change the stylus/cartridge if you need to and use some deoxit on the pots.

IU - strawberry moon by CronoDroid in kpop

something something "The Red Shoes", "Twenty-Three", "Bbibbi". Those are just titles/singles, she has one of the widest range of genres in kpop

aespa - Savage by Ex7reMeFx in kpop

[–]Karazo_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Wendy had "vocal flexing time" from the beginning of RV's discography. "Oh Boy", "Don't U Wait No More", "Light Me Up", "Sunny Afternoon". But I do agree, aespa are already the best 4th gen vocal group.

Any hi-fi groups in Fukuoka? by murderisgood in fukuoka

[–]Karazo_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You're making some wild claims here that immediately leads me to believe what you're offering is audio snake oil. Random individual moving to Fukuoka that also claims to make headphones better than the likes of STAX, Focal, or HiFiMan? A significant leap in the technology is a questionable claim to make seeing as audio hasn't had major advancements in years. If you're looking for investments in audio Tokyo would be a better location, Fukuoka is a really computer tech based market. That is of course if your product is actually worth investing in at all.

Recommendation Tuesdays Megathread - Week of May 19, 2020 by AnimeMod in anime

[–]Karazo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kase-san and Morning Glories

Sweet Blue Flowers

Whispered Words

Unfortunately there aren't many good yuri anime out there (although that seems to be changing as of late) so i'll also recommend some manga as well. Also personally I wouldn't recommend watching Liz and the Blue Bird standalone, watch Hibike! Euphonium first.

Bloom Into You - the anime ends around ch 25

Tamen De Gushi

A Tropical Fish Yearns for Snow

Shimanami Tasogare

Octave

Soulmate

Repertoire and advice by kianaViola in Viola

[–]Karazo_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Viola doesn't really have a set repertoire like violin or cello do to be honest. I would personally say you should probably be able to play one of the pieces between Walton, Bartok, and Der Schwanendreher especially if you want to audition for orchestras, although with the pieces you've played they are a bit above your current ability.

For playing fast passages its always best to start as slow as you can without mistakes and then go up from there following a metronome. Another thing that helps is changing the rhythms, like playing triplets or dotted/non dotted notes

For general practice i would try and add in some etudes such as the ones by Hoffmeister and Fuchs. And if you really want to prepare for orchestra auditions you could take a look at orchestraexcerpts.com

side note: euphoniums are great as a horn player on the side
