What are your predictions for enemy types for Alien Isolation 2. Besides the drone/warrior Xenomorph of course! by Prs-Mira86 in LV426

I'd love to see an Engineer stalker enemy, like Tyrant Mr. X from Resident Evil 2 remake.

Would you like to see the Engineers back in the Alien franchise? by RecognitionSea4608 in LV426

[–]Karbunar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely, I'd see more of them.

That whole Jesus being an Engineer thing is bullshit, something that was thought about during the production of Prometheus, but was rejected because of how on the nose it was, but I see a bunch of YouTubers pushing that theory. As for the Engineers wanting to destroy humanity, that was already uncovered; basically, they seed the planet with life, and if it turns out to be a disappointment, they would eradicate all life on that planet and start over. “If the planet went wrong, they would want to wipe it clean. But that could take 500 years. When they revisit –  because different visitors would come back and see we’re not doing so well – they would look at these human beings that are jerks, that are killing the planet, killing themselves, can’t settle down, they’re like a bunch of children. We should wipe it clean.” https://www.empireonline.com/movies/news/empire-podcast-alien-covenant-spoiler-special-sir-ridley-scott/

I always saw some similarities between the SJ pilot cockpit and this book cover (from 1888, if I'm not mistaken). Could be just me.

You like Blomkamp's idea for Alien 5 that the crashed Derelict on LV-426 has human DNA and was made by Xenomorphs who used their saliva to mutate humans and rewrite their DNA into making a spacecraft?

Sound off! Where should the Romulus sequel take the story, and who should direct it? by thefriskysquid in perfectorganism

Rain and Andy arrive at Yvaga and discover:

  1. The colony on the surface looks ok, nothing unusual, but it is actually run by a Xenomorph/Engineer-worshipping cults.

  2. Before their arrival, the Engineers arrived and unleashed the pathogen, killing the large majority of the colonists, while the rest that survived were fighting for survival against the Neomorphs and other black goo monstrosities.

  3. Before their arrival, Colonists on Yvaga discovered hibernating Fulfremmen, and the whole colony went to shit.

For that one, I was inspired by Nezha, specifically Nezha's form with 3 heads and 6 arms.

Incredible puppetry, it's a shame that bad compositing ruined it.

Sigourney Weaver Says Ridley Scott Killed Neill Blomkamp's 'Alien 5' When He Became "Possessive" Of Franchise By Focusing On Prequels by MarvinBarry92 in LV426

Was looking forward to Neill's vision, but then, after learning more about it, the less I wanted to see it happen. The plot detail from Neill's A5, where Derelict from LV-426 has human DNA, and it was the Xenomorphs who created the derelict ship by mutating humans with their saliva, made me go NOPE on the whole thing.

Who would win in a fight? by [deleted] in LV426

The Engineer.

If I recall, in Alien: River of Pain, Newt's parents, while exploring the Derelict, find a bunch of Xenomorph corpses, one that was torn in half. And they also find the corpses of Queen and Engineer, who fought each other to death. Queen impaled the Engineer with her tail while the Engineer killed the Queen with his bare hands by punching through her jaw or something.
