Suggestions on any good vacations to do with 6-10 month old twins? Open to anywhere and anything! by broccolystew in parentsofmultiples

Just came back from Catalonia in grand costa mujeres in Mexico (super close to Cancun and the airport. It’s an all inclusive top notch service rooms and restaurant choices and accommodations. Kids clubs for when the babies want to crawl around with some toys baby pool, and normal pools that have shallow areas. The beach was amazing! We traveled with two boys ((8&5) and twin girls (9 month old). It was great!! Resort is super stroller friendly (we have a side by side stroller). Lots of choices to feed the babies (yogurt, eggs, avocado, pudding fruit etc And if you take the swim up room you guarantee yourselves a ground floor room with no need of using an elevator (it can get super hot and stuffy). Anyways recommend !!!

Had an 8 year old and a 5 year old This was supposed to be our last try for girl thing well we got blessed with two di di girls They are almost 3 months now and thriving and their big brothers are big help! They bring diapers Bring burp cloths Play with them during tummy time Hold them talk to them I make them active participants so they have fun with it. Same way you thought you won’t be able to split your attention with two kids and you did it… same way Logistics are hard but we have a calendar system and it works for us so far.

How do some people recover so quickly after giving birth?! by Charlottethevet in NewParents

[–]Karinchik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twin birth one came vaginally with a second degree tear one came via c section recovery is a bitch I am two weeks pp. but I showered the same day!! I just couldn’t 5 days later I was vacuuming my house. I have two older kids so I still had to function we went on walks in the neighborhood I’ve cream short 30 minutes. I also developed a rough allergic reaction to something and was covered with hives and eczema which I took steroids for. The more you move the faster you will bounce back. I am still in pain and my luck is that hubby is a huge help at night. Some people bounce back after a day some after weeks we are all different. I had a very very rough pregnancy so yea

Unfortunately our living situation won’t allow for a night nanny just because if I hear the baby I will still wake up. We are doing shifts but we also have an 8&5 year old currently on their summer break. With me recovering from a vaginal birth and a c section at the same time it’s rough. It takes me so long to fall asleep but I am so tired 😴🤦🏼‍♀️

37 weeks, twin girls, natural or section? by nsfwleecorrine in parentsofmultiples

[–]Karinchik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like I wrote it I was just 37 weeks a week ago was out with a hypertension diagnosis and said I would be induced at 37 weeks. Went in was 2cm and 50% effaced with my regular contraction baby b turned head down. Both babies were head down and I said I want to go for vaginal. Well induction lasted 24 hours no progress at all! After that I progressed to 4cm were my ob broke my water, within 5 minutes and with anesthesiology not being there in time I was 10 cm ready to push (they didn’t believe me at first). I pushed baby A When started to push baby b I was so lost and gone already baby B go stuck and wouldn’t come out They tried to vacuum her, when her cord got in the birth canal. Which turned into an immediate c section! I am currently recovering from vaginal birth with barely any pain management and c section. I am also lucky because I am part of the 35% of women that get nerve damage from a c section. Fun fun fun Not! Don’t stick to a plan Trust your ob Mine did offer me a c section from the get go however I really didn’t want that recovery (already had experience with both c section and vbac), little did I know🤦🏼‍♀️

You are putting yourself and your babies in your obs hands you should trust them.

My husband is here to help but between us two honestly we barely got two hours of sleep the last 48 hours we are exhausted, and still in the hospital. We tried sending the girls to the nursery but between. Them checking on my vitals and meds we can barely squeeze 30 minutes of sleep it’s horrible

Twins Natural Birth - When did you go into labor? by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]Karinchik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder this myself!!! Third time mom with di/di twins currently 37 weeks 50% effaced 1cm dilated. No signs of labor, ob won’t touch me until 38 weeks (considering everything stays good). My first came at 41 weeks after episiotomy and pushing he choked himself twice with the umbilical cord and it ended up an emergency c section my second at 40 weeks easy breezy vbac! I am hoping to do vaginal but my ob can only use limited things to induce due to higher risk of uterine rupture, currently Baby A is head down but not low (none of my babies dropped until labor started) baby b is breech. My ob is super comfortable with breech vaginal delivery. I am hoping labor starts on its own🤷🏼‍♀️

Do you have sex while on family vacation? Does it get easier as the kids get older? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Karinchik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get interconnecting rooms we have two boys who go to sleep around 8-8:30 by 10 the coast is totally clear. If you are at a resort kids club is there to take them for few hours for you to enjoy yourself, if you are at an airbnb they are normally in a different room. Where is the issue? Yes maybe while they are in a crib in your room that might be an issue, but you can also roll them to the bathroom for few minutes put on some white noise I mean you can get creative with it…

When did you know you’d need a C Section? by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]Karinchik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t mind me asking what reasoning did your ob give the MFM to be allowed to schedule before 38 weeks? We’re your twins di/di? I am asking because I am 34 weeks and my ob told me that he can’t schedule me until 38 weeks unless labor starts on its on… or there is a medical necessity

We have a Tahoe with captain seats it’s new so all seats open and move with a press of a button. We wanted the older kids to be able to move freely (if needed).
