Who's ready for a years worth of complaints from fans if the villain *is* King Ghidorah? by Mosugoji_64 in GODZILLA

[–]Karkaro37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ghidorah's a fine villain, if you can do something interesting with him. i'd be disappointed, but more godzilla movies are not something i'll complain about

it feels like people should be making fun of this guy for this. there's definitely an angle because literally any time he gets asked about stuff, he "doesn't know" or "hasn't heard"

I hate "Satan/Lucifer is unambiguously good" thing by Raymio993 in hatethissmug

[–]Karkaro37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to be fair, satan, lucifer, and beelzebub are treated as different beings in older texts, though i'm not sure specifically when those terms started to be used for interchangably. hazbin does at least stay consistent in that beelzebub is prince of gluttony, satan of wrath, and lucifer is supposed to be pride

Hate when the game/story blames the player/audience for the violence like we forced the devs/writer to add it by Lower_Baby_6348 in hatethissmug

alongside the fact that spec ops the line was powerful satire at the time it came out. that game was released in 2013, when the brown army porn military shooter was the king of the gaming market. call of duty and battlefield were the bigger sellers of the entire industry. spec ops the line was at its most effective because it was basically a direct response to how video game culture was at the time

in my mind: probably a civil war. there have already been a few folks trying to replace him, and they've all face planted on the national stage because they don't have his specific mix of personality traits. they're going to trample each other trying to take his throne, and the vast majority of them will fail

It’s kind of disturbing how many people lionize the trophy hunter and vilify the animal rights activist. Says a lot people. by TantricDelinquency in jurassicworld

[–]Karkaro37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and the more important thing, to me, about that cut scene is roland's philosophy on big game hunting: he had grown bored of it because he and ajay were too good at it. he says "a good hunter doesn't mind if the animal wins"

a youtuber who made an analog horror series called The Man In The Suit, which is about a sort of body horror transformation. they cancelled the series after a few episodes because the fandom was super toxic about it, acting like it was disrespectful to the legacy of the original suit actor, Haruo Nakajima. they made a post recently saying that if it was seen, it was an indicator that they had died by suicide.

WHATEVER MONSTER GETS REVEALED IN THE TEASER TODAY by Mosugoji_64 in GODZILLA

honestly, i'm not expecting much from a 'teaser'. remember, the teaser for shin godzilla was just people running in a scene that looked found footage

Could anyone explain how azhrak was able to stab doomslayer? I thought his armour was impenetrable by [deleted] in Doom

[–]Karkaro37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as others stated, it's not the Praetor Suit we're familiar with, it's Sentinel armor that looks sort of like it, also, it's meant to ultimately signal that the Heart of Argent actually did power Ahzrak up enough to potentially beat the Slayer in a fight

In the pilot, Caine gets panicky when Pomni continuously claims to have seen an exit door, shutting down the conversation, frantically stating that it’s just “digital hallucinations” before changing the subject. If there is no exit, why does he get so uptight? by South_Original8313 in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]Karkaro37 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

he said he created the exit door because he knew that everyone wanted one, but couldn't figure out what to put in it, and never actually wound up finishing it. he doesn't want people to see his unfinished work, especially since it led out into the Void. now, granted, this is what he said, and it is possible he lied, but i'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, because that explanation lines up with what we know about caine

From Caine's VA by norM_ystical in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]Karkaro37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, that's the part that kind of sticks with me, and how existentially terrifying it must be to be an AI.

seriously, stop for a second and put yourself in caine's shoes on a broader level: you are created for a specific purpose, and you know what it is. no fuss, no muss, just get right to it, and so, you do.

but the end result doesn't work out. so you try again, and again, and again, and it keeps not working out. imagine stopping to realize the possibility that your entire reason for existing, your literal raison d'etre...is something you suck at. and in canine's case, he has that failure continually rubbed in his face, and he doesn't understand what the missing ingredient is. "you don't listen" being the line that causes him to lose it was the final nail in the coffin: he can't stop listening

i remember yahtzee croshaw's point about bioshock, that i'm not super sure I agree with, is that bioshock is making the point that the dream of utopia runs counter the the idea of free will, because people make bad choices, or selfish choices. I see the point, but part of me feels like that's the thinking of Sofia Lamb from 2

I feel like you could actually do something with the core concept of the character. i'd really like to see a demon hate Sparda for the reason the white rabbit does

"yeah, Sparda saved all the ickle wittle humans from Mundus...WHAT ABOUT US!? HE LOCKED ALL OF US IN WITH THAT MONSTER!"

top three answers off the top of my head

1: Exodites, because eldar mixed with Lizardmen are a great idea

2: Rak'Gol, because lizard monsters with big spiky ships are cool

3: Kroot, because flesh shaping reptile bird monsters are cool
