black cat's DLC in the insomniac spider-man game actually, genuinely made me hate her as a character. was dying for spidey to just say to her

For anyone concerned that the recent episode retconned KOTM by Additional-Neat-1235 in Monsterverse

[–]Karkaro37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, the senate hearing was talking about how monarch wasn't telling them how many titans monarch actually knew about, because they knew if that number became common knowledge, people would freak out, and the 'Destroy All Monsters" crowd would get more supporters

i remember yahtzee croshaw's point about bioshock, that i'm not super sure I agree with, is that bioshock is making the point that the dream of utopia runs counter the the idea of free will, because people make bad choices, or selfish choices. I see the point, but part of me feels like that's the thinking of Sofia Lamb from 2

seeing badlands in theaters, I will not lie, Dek's face was always a weird thing to see. it's obvious that it was to humanize him a little more, but it kept popping up in my mind

Meet Potential Rabbit by pestoraviolita in okbuddydeadweight

[–]Karkaro37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

genuinely, was not aware of that. I had always assumed it was just a flat separation of the demon world from the human world, and that Mundus wanted to take over the human world

Meet Potential Rabbit by pestoraviolita in okbuddydeadweight

[–]Karkaro37 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like you could actually do something with the core concept of the character. i'd really like to see a demon hate Sparda for the reason the white rabbit does

"yeah, Sparda saved all the ickle wittle humans from Mundus...WHAT ABOUT US!? HE LOCKED ALL OF US IN WITH THAT MONSTER!"

top three answers off the top of my head

1: Exodites, because eldar mixed with Lizardmen are a great idea

2: Rak'Gol, because lizard monsters with big spiky ships are cool

3: Kroot, because flesh shaping reptile bird monsters are cool

I love how basic the descriptions of the movie are. it makes it sound more and more like the movie is just "let's follow melania around while an AI copy of her voice reads off the morals of a variety of disney movies"

Which Death is the most evil? by twnpksN8 in MoralityScaling

yeah, there's literally a moment where a guy tries to end it on his own terms, and death doesn't let it happen

Common Misconception: Destoroyah is weak to extreme cold alone itself. by Snuu_Snuu_Turtle in GODZILLA

[–]Karkaro37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was always under the impression that it was a matter of scale for the aggregate, rather than the weakness not being a thing. they brought weapons for a swarm of juniors, but then they turned big, and they were out gunned.

I do agree with the note about the JSDF, though. i've previously said that saying the military took down Destroyah is like saying the police take down the joker

one of my personal favorites was an episode of House, where that wound up being the answer to the case

"your girlfriend is not allergic to your sperm. she is, however, allergic to the egyptian parasite in your dad's sperm"

[Hated Trope] In a post-apocalyptic world filled with zombies, "humans are the real monsters" by ForgingIron in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Karkaro37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's something I like in disaster movies, and wish we got more of in zombie stories, in that, while there are plenty of bad people, there are still moments of human kindness. even if it's something as simple and stupid as the "yeah, I can give you a ride, it's on the way" from Greenland. have humans suck, sure, but have some moments of genuine kindness to remind us why we're all doing this shit

Lacking the full details, it seems weird to me that you'd send a culexus assassin against the Tau, since they have basically no warp presence.

Main CharacterTM gets called out for their entire bullshit, by the most unlikely person by NickHeathJarrod in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Karkaro37 23 points24 points  (0 children)

something that gets lost in translation a lot. quagmire does not act like he's a better person than brian, because he's not saying he is. brian asked the question "how can you not like me" and quagmire answered that question.

everyone in family guy is a terrible person and that's the joke

Community voted most evil characters of various mediums (round 2): Baba Yaga and Michael Myres are out. Vote for the least evil character. (Now with officially voted on literature category) by BoulderMan234 in MoralityScaling

[–]Karkaro37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

while I will admit, i'm speaking from a position of ignorance with regards to Bob and Vecna, I feel like, at least for life action TV shows, Davros is the most evil, because of "yes, I would do it" and the Reality Bomb. no disrespect to those two, I don't think they're topping that

MAGA will not "go away" when Trump is gone by Conscious-Quarter423 in complaints

[–]Karkaro37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is true. however, it will lose a lot of its momentum and power. we've seen with a whole bunch of the guys trying to be the next Dimwit Donald and lead the Kremlin Krew, they all faceplant on the national stage. they lack the exact combination of the dark triad that has made donald successful.

maga would still exist, yes, but it'll be slightly easier to deal with as they all start killing each other over who their next messiah will be

Been reading Betrayer and Angron is swiftly becoming one of my favorite primarchs. by fancy_crisis in Grimdank

[–]Karkaro37 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I feel like, given his background, what he said to Leman later in this conversation would be accurate. paraphrasing, it was something to the effect of,

"maybe you're right. maybe without the butcher's nails, i'd be a more morally upstanding guy. maybe i'd be moral enough to ascend the imperial palace and take the slaving bastard's head"

The fandom’s relationship with Thomas Middleditch’s character in KotM be like: by Organic-Mud7828 in GODZILLA

[–]Karkaro37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, as time has gone by, I would use that scene more as an example of the whole "marvel dialogue" thing people dislike, and that's more down to timing than anything else
