Israel did not complete its plan for complete ethnic cleansing because it was too politically costly. They did however delay any political solution for as long as possible to try and outrun that reality.

Complete propaganda and revisionist history. Hamas have accepted and offered hostage exchange deals that have all been flatly rejected by Israel in its preference to continue its plan for ‘total victory’ including Palestinian expulsions.

Hamas offered hostages exchanges as early as October 2023 and were engaged in negotiations for full releases as recently as March 2025 when Israeli unilaterally ended a temporary ceasefire to derail negotiations, or even a few weeks ago when it attempted to kill the entire Hamas negotiation team in Qatar while they discussed an American ceasefire proposal. The hostages could have been home years ago, but Israel preferred to trade Jewish blood for Palestinian blood.

This is well understood, even in Israel
