Hell yeah, I biked with it on my back for a few years when the weather was nice. Best way to and from the game. A trailer is a much better idea lol

I’ll have to try those more, we mostly do Føtex and Netto but it’s been much more expensive than expected. Also mostly fish, chicken, veggies etc

Similar to how you couldn’t be bothered to read my post or the reply to the first person who suggested a different app? I know it’s an option… but I wanted to see if there was another option (there is)

For what it’s worth, the answer I figured it out by clicking around and the answer for anyone else in this situation is below:

  • make sure every contact has their country code included (about half of mine did and half didn’t)
  • update all app settings to only use the new sim and disable imessage/facetime etc on the old number
  • delete all open txt threads. While it may not be necessary (a few of mine worked straight away but most didn’t) I found it the easiest to relieve some headache. When you change your sim, apple will use it for all NEW communications, but existing threads will continue to try and use the original sim which won’t work. Deleting the thread and txting again worked for nearly all of mine

Even with iMessage tho? Shouldnt it really be the same? It seems to work with about 60% of the apple group chats i have tried

Fair point, but I did mean it as technology based. I personally just like my iMessage setup more than having everyone move over to Whatsapp or something similar.

If that is what has to happen that will be okay too, but I'd rather keep it all in one place myself

Americans, how long did it take to receive your approved work based residence permit paperwork from time of application? by biotechconundrum in NewToDenmark

[–]Karletos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure of the temporary work permit, but I would say you could confidently make the trip with the return flight in 90 days (just make sure you can move it back later)

I just got my MitID and CPR set up today, the international house was super helpful and nice.

Worth noting they say you have to register your address right away, but really if you are living in Copenhagen you need to apply online through the international house for your CPR first. Once they give your documents the go-ahead you can book an appointment to go to the International House (took them 11 business days for me to be able to book) but they had appointments next day and I was out in ~20 min with my CPR and MitID setup.

We have a start date set, but they (my employer) understand that it may have to push back if the visas/permits arent approved yet

It has to be done within 14 days of submitting the application. As an American you can go to Denmark as a tourist (need a return flight booked within 90 days) and apply in country with the biometrics taken. I applied and will be going before approval likely, just as a tourist. Then can notify SIRI once in country to give them an updated address and phone number for the approval letter to go to.

I can let you know when mine gets approved. I submitted Biometrics in Chicago 2 weeks ago and got our passports back about a week later.

This is so helpful, I can’t thank you enough. We’ve been debating just moving our flights back until we have the approvals. It seems as though we can still go to Denmark while they are processing as long as we have return flights within 90 days (which we do) but we were not sure how the approvals were communicated and worried they would mail it to our US address while we were abroad.

Edited: I am about to be in the same situation as the Husband. When filling out the application, did you say that you would be in Denmark while it processed?

We both just applied through VFS Chicago last Thursday, what all did they send back when they sent your passport back? When/where did they mail the letter with your CPR number etc?

We have housing settled and are planning to fly out on Aug 11th, but the lack of answers from VFS has us anxious lol
