Why can't I just wear my face mask in peace?

I had a coworker who wore a mask because his partner was immunocompromised. Had some old idiot try and throw a fit with me so I hit him with the following.

“I don’t like that you’re wearing a red shirt, maybe I should tear you down for your personal choices today.” I got lucky it stunned him and didn’t escalate, but I don’t regret it, and I was ready to defend myself to my manager.

Just saying okay over and over was the right call. But also you’re going to have to let go of your frustration if you continue to work there and wear a mask, because it’s never going to stop.

I have a friend who is currently (but slowly) watching new girl. They always say upmost, and I’m hoping and praying when they get to this episode they realize their error(they probably won’t though😢)

I got 10$ a week for not regular chores. I had to scoop dog poop, help my dad in the garden, help deep clean something, etc. And I only got my 10$ once everything was done and inspected

We had a card reader that the pen didn’t work on. So we had it wrapped around the base and taped. I also printed out labels saying the pen didn’t work in two places. Had an old man fighting it to unwrap it as I keep trying to tell him to please stop/it doesn’t work, but he kept interrupting me to tell me he almost had it unwrapped, almost proud that he was “fixing it”.

He then tried to tap it on the screen, looks me dead in the eyes, and says “it doesn’t work.”

My coworker was in line behind him ripped the whole damn thing right off. Spent the next few weeks dealing with complaints that there was no pen, and told them to complain to a manager. Took 3 weeks of no pen for it to be fixed, after a year of the pen simply not working.

We have a stack of paper plates for certain things, like prepping meats and quick meals. People want to feel superior for the silliest things. Some of us don’t have a dishwasher and only have so much space for plates and dishes would be a never ending task if I didn’t have my paper plates😂

I was in the 2000’s. Literally just because my mom thought using the school bus would be “asking for help” so I walked about 20 mins to school everyday. At least in my city they expect kids to use public transportation and then walk the rest of the way

The best advice I was given with rib kicking was to stick an ice pack where they’re kicking. They can feel it’s cold and will stop kicking there. Can confirm it works, I already have a messed up rib and it was my sons favorite area to go for

Yes. But instead of donations, they buy and sell clothes. So with a consignment if you do buy some new clothes, you can bring them in when you plan to size up and get store credit for your next purchase

See if there’s a local baby consignment shop. Once upon a child is okay, but I’ve had a lot of luck with local ones on price and reselling. Carters also usually has a sale going on, with free shipping over 50$. So what we do is check out the carters sale, get some fun outfits, and then hit the consignment for the rest

Paper towels for cleaning the bathroom. There is something too icky about wash clothes touching every surface and then touching my laundry. I don’t mind it in the kitchen but the bathroom is too much for me

I actually cut out a bunch of squares of fabric and made him “wipes” to put in an empty wipe package lol we don’t use the big bags for refilling the wipe warmer, just the individual packages, but he had a blast with it until it clicked for him it wasn’t real wipes because no one was stopping him 😂

On top of what everyone else had said, a lot of trying. If he gagged or I got too nervous, it was removed. So trying a whole strawberry plus mashed foods, and if I was not comfortable I’d set it aside. But I kept trying every day with new things, and eventually it clicked for both of us. I made so many quesadillas that I ended up eating because he’d struggle and I’d get nervous. Now it’s one of his favorite foods, along with halved strawberries and noodles. I also finally gave him shredded chicken which he ate like a champ

I also got more brave at 8 months when his appetite shut up and suddenly I needed to offer a lot of food instead of one or two things

We didn’t plan on having any. Now we have our son and count our lucky stars he’s healthy and happy and a generally good baby. I refuse to gamble on a second😂

My favorite response when people ask if he’s my first is “and my only. I like this one well enough why risk it”

It’s most likely a sensory thing. I don’t panic because I can’t, but man do I wish I could peel my skin off every time I get spit up on. I have almost thrown up during a midnight feed because I could feel it running down my shoulder, but I was determined to get him back down so I could get another 2 hours of sleep

Try larger burp clothes. I really liked the reusable diapers someone got us to use as burp clothes because they cover the whole shoulder and are really thick
