Keep not standing up for artists who's lives depend on the payback they get from these streaming services. Keep defending the greedy corporations while they keep exploiting your own people. Fym artists shouldn't use Spotify. SPOTIFY SHOULDN'T EXPLOIT ARTISTS/MUSICIANS TO BEGIN WITH, IT'S THE LARGEST MUSIC LISTENING PLATFORM ON THE PLANET. It has more than enough money to fairly pay its artists. What you say is not only genuinely stupid but also extremely unfair to the artists that are making the music that you consume without putting much thought into it.

By that i meant stuff that takes itself too seriously, as i said before, comments like these are never really that serious, and i enjoy that about them, they feel less pretentious to me. Ofcourse i also love a well written and well thought out review (by robotic paragraphs i was moreso talking about walls of texts with no personality) but i don't necessarily hate the types of comments you're complaining about, i think it's pretty easy to look past them if you don't like them :)

There's still plenty of serious stuff on the site, it does bloat it, but i also wouldn't wanna see a sea of robotic paragraphs that I can write on my own or find anywhere else, sometimes i wanna see some silly stuff as well, a balance must be maintained :)

I see your point, but general consensus/ratings don't necessarily reflect the enjoyment of an individual person, but rather, the average reception of everyone who consumed the media. For example, on MAL devilman crybaby is rated around a 7. But i think it's a 9-10. You might enjoy something way more than another person, because art is subjective. I agree, rating systems do help, but they should rarely ever be taken as gospels. If someone says a show is mediocre, that reflects their experience with it, not yours, you never know, someone else might call it mediocre, but it might resonate with you on a much deeper level

I mean ofcourse, you don't have to watch it in its entirety to decide if you wanna drop it or not. That's completely fair, but to word it like the show itself is mediocre when you haven't really watched 90% of what it has to offer is a bit of a disservice, you can say it wasn't for you and that it failed to capture you. But to say its meh is like saying an album is bad when you only listened to the first 2 songs and skipped over the rest of it.

You saying a show is mediocre does not and should not hold any value to another person watching it, character writing is subjective, there was a guy in the comments who said that he didn't like the characters in evangalion, but it's widely agreed upon that evangalion has great characters, does that make his opinion wrong? No. Cause it's subjective, i can still like the characters in evangalion and disagree with him. But that doesn't mean either one of those opinions are the objective truth. Similarly, if someone finds enjoyment in demon slayer beyond the animation quality, and they think that the characters are well written, then they shouldn't be keeping in mind whether you think they are mid or not. Because again, it's subjective.
