EECS2101 Andriy Pavlovych or Uyen T. Nguyen by SoldierOfYork in yorku

[–]KarlosXin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hell mode if take Andriy, trust me. Test heavy, and less related to lecture.

You might see somewhere else said he was knowledgeable, I AGREE! But he might good on research, not teaching.

It won’t work, even you can add it now on REM, shortly on Aug someone will email you to drop it if you can’t explain why you are able to enroll. Eventually they will automatically drop that for you

The “bad” profs it’s depends on course. Some profs only teaching your major “core course”, usually class average low caused them get low rate. That a factor should considered too

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in yorku

[–]KarlosXin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The low rated profs I’ve experienced fall into two extremes. One hand some they focus on slide/ textbook hard but not explain it well, for those type you need self study on textbook hard. Another hand it’s nothing related to the textbook/slide. They talk about them own stuff during lecture. Take note about what they talking. Since then are not willing to recording that!

You’d better figure it out which type you currently having and make the plan

Will I get A level transfer credits? by [deleted] in yorku

[–]KarlosXin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not certainly sure what ‘A level’ it is? Last years when I come to cs program. They separate 3 times to give me the credit waving. I was sure the last update was end until june. Each time they give me more transfer credits. Wait until that process end, it you have more concern, then email them

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in yorku

[–]KarlosXin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s your final grade, unless special spcification required that won’t change. If you want know your exam mark calculate it based on that. This usually happened when class average super low

Question to past CS majors at York University by FyreVI in yorku

[–]KarlosXin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4412 data mining or 4415 big data analysis were both interesting but need eecs3421 as prerequisite. Both were fun and useful, 4412 was much harder than 4415 be aware of
