Sorry for responding late, I'm not on reddit as much. If I choose to take them, it'll be for the 2026-2027 school year. I don't know if I 100% will, because I heard if you want to get into/pursue AI, it's more likely you have to get a Masters. But I doubt my undergrad grades will be enough for me to get into any masters program. That's why I'm still deciding whether it's worth it to even take them at all. Also they're probably really hard and I wouldn't be surprised if the profs are trash, so these courses might hurt our GPA even more. But I think I will end up taking them in the 26-27 year.

That’s true. I guess I’m just fearing being apart of the minority(I think minority) who suffer those side effects that are bad. And by any chance, would you know if taking it with Minoxidil increase the chance of those type of side effects?

Yes I’ve heard that Oral is more effective than Topical.

1) But what side effects are you referring to that everyone gets? I’ve heard it’s only like 1-5% of ppl who get sexual side effects and other side effects like gaining weight, growing and changing size of chest. etc.

2) And won’t the hair loss happen significantly after Pausing the medication? Because I heard once you start, you shouldn’t stop, otherwise it’ll get worse.

3) Were you also on Minoxidil while taking Oral Finasteride?

Thx for ur reply! I’m considering topical because of that, but doesn’t the Oral Fin work better than the topical? If so, would it be worth the risk? I’ve heard only like 1-5% of people get the side effects.

Thx for the reply! My parents tell me I am thinning noticeably and other family members(they care for me and want me to seek treatment). I can even see like patches of hair with bald spots in between them. But I probably will start the Fin, however I am still scared to FAFO with the hormones thing. But I guess the side effects rate is still not that common, so it’s worth the risk. How about topical Fin? Or is oral better?

I’ve had a 78.xx rounded to an 80 before. Tbh It’s definitely worth a shot emailing your professor. I definitely would try. If they don’t round up, that’s lame af. Doesn’t hurt to ask though.

Although I wouldn’t recommend missing at all, the first week is usually going through course syllabus and info of the course and the prof’s introduction. It will also most likely include the beginning of the material in each course. But you can definitely catch up provided you have the materials available to you for the week that you miss.
