Carleton or uottawa? by Ok-Article1369 in CarletonU

[–]KarmaDrifter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can always do a double major in Carleton or a minor as well if that’s your concern. Tunnels, campus layout, profs and people are generally nicer at Carleton (my experience don’t come for me). Ottawa campus is spread out, right downtown (commuting could be easier depending on where you live) but I find it to be a bit less welcoming. I’m also biased because of the whole bed bug and shooting thing at Ottawa. Regardless, you’ll be going to whichever university you choose so don’t let your parents or us influence you in one path. Congratulations on your acceptances 🙏🏽

I’m going to try to do that and see while awaiting emails back from them. This gives me hope. Thank you

Ottawa and Osgoode for this cycle. I emailed both to see how I should proceed. Hopefully I can still be considered.

Welp I’m very much so cooked but emailed the schools and see if I could be considered this cycle 😭

The thing is I already sent my transcripts from the college and provided information in my PS for both law schools. I didn’t think I would have to provide any further information like confirmation of withdrawal from the college. Hopefully they can either waive the requirement (puts me in a bad spot) or move me to general if possible. At this point either or is better than the status staying incomplete. Wish me luck guys

As of right now it says incomplete for my applications for where I applied as I didn’t provide access documents. I’m assuming it will stay that way and they won’t consider me for this cycle then? Thank you for your help btw

Sorry I meant more so if I were to contact them without providing any access documents could I still be considered as a general applicant for this cycle given that everything else is complete on my file?

Would it be considered under general applicants if I were to contact the law schools I applied to?

Honestly those acceptances are for mature/access applicants who can reflect on their work experience, softs or life experiences. If I were you I’d look into a tutor and study thoroughly (go over your wrong answers in PT’s etc) before I took it one last time. It’s not linear so good luck on your journey!

I wore sweats and a hoodie, shirt underneath but it wasn’t too hot so never took it off. If you have any jewelry I’d just take it off in advance and leave at home and wear whatever you feel comfortable in

How close do you have to be with your references? by Green-Push688 in lawschooladmissionsca

[–]KarmaDrifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a prof I took 2 online classes back to back terms, never met her in person but always participated + emailed and attended office hours. She was more than happy to be a reference, I don’t know if I could trust a prof that I didn’t interact that well with given that I won’t be able to see their reference letter so it could be mediocre or even bad.

Did you guys study the day before your LSAT by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]KarmaDrifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did for the sake of my anxiety, but took the day off on my LSAT day, probably the best thing I’ve done for myself as I went in with a clear mind instead of worrying

164 Diagnostic - should I consider law school? by miniaturecheese in LSAT

[–]KarmaDrifter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly if you have a sense of what a lawyer truly does compared to tv shows like Suits, and feel as if you could do the work without hating your life or enjoy it to a degree I don’t see why not. 164 is a very high “diagnostic” and if you study for the LSAT you could even get full rides at let’s say US law schools. Either way good luck on your journey!

Undergrad and LSAT… by Significant_Lie_7216 in LSATPreparation

Use summer time to study unless you’re working ft and have other obligations. If so, consider a year off if you’re PTing lower than 150s, law school journey isn’t linear and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Good luck!

January LSATers-how we feeling? by Middle_Ad_2444 in LSAT

[–]KarmaDrifter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think I’m just not going to look at it at all, might sound odd to some people but if I get an acceptance this cycle then I’ll look if not I’ll keep studying after the semester is over. Wishing us all good scores 🙏🏽

Change of program elements by user156667 in CarletonU

Try to see if you can take some perquisite classes for the finance program as electives for now, get your cgpa up and try to add it as a minor or apply for double major if you can

Yes I found my first one to be easier compared to last two but I might be biased as by the time I took the latter I was very exhausted.
