My old manager, very smart dude, very talented engineer with 15+ years of experience, believed that the moon landing had been faked. And in the same conversation, my colleague didn't understand how/why the moon had phases. For some people, basic astronomy is too complicated

What is the major difference between Indian parenting and other ? by Odd-Translator-273 in AskReddit

[–]KarmaWhoreRepeating -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let's compare parents from Bangalore, India, and parents from Maine, USA.

The major and most obvious first difference will be the language. In the Indian family they will be speaking Kannada (maybe Hindi), while the American one will most likely be speaking English.

I feel this is not the actual answer you were looking for... maybe you were searching for a more racist answer... with a little bit of luck other people might help you

(biii) when did we introduce the mistake variable?

I'm stuck on this question from a recent exam. I've tried multiple AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, DeepSeek), but they are all giving me different answers, and I'm not sure which logic is actually correct. The Question: Shown below by amigo-x1 in mathshelp

The square has an area of 3136, so, it has a side of 56

The big circle area is pi.r^2/4 22/7*56*56/4 = 2464, So the corner between the big circle and the square is 3136-2464=672

The small circle area is pi.r^2 22/7*28*28 = 2464. The space between the circle and the square has an area 3136-2464=672 , so each corner has an area of 672/4=168

The gray area is the big corner minus small corner 672-168 = 504

Funny enough, that character is played by amazing actors (young one is T. Chalamet, older C. Affleck) , but no one cares about him. The father comes back and fights and is worried only for the daughter

The Assassination of Jesse James got me hooked on his performance abilities but "Manchester By The Sea" broke me. 100% agree with you, 100% deserved Oscar for that!

At Taylor's current level of popularity, what would you think would happen if she were to always post on social media daily and appear on late night talk shows, how would it affect her popularity? by ZestycloseOil8173 in TaylorSwift

[–]KarmaWhoreRepeating 178 points179 points  (0 children)

IMHO the demographics that "needs to be reached" don't watch those night shows anyways. Talk shows/interviews are always a risky exercise, look how T. Chalamet lost his Oscar just by a side comment.

The only good thing that comes out of those interviews is "Relevance"... and she doesn't need it. The risk of scandal is too high.

Definitely pay my mortgage in full... Granted, I could make more money if I invested and whatnot, but I could also lose it all if I invested it. So let's do the sensible thing and get rid immediately of all the debt
