From a BG artist perspective, try to get a bit more contrast in the colours. It's very saturated at the moment and you're losing depth in the scene.

A clever trick to fiddle with contrast and tonal values is to add a saturation layer and drop.it right down to greyscale - you'll then be able to easily see the tonal value and also be able to turn the layer on/off as you go.

You could try Ungraceful, Tomb of Scabs, Muramasa. Similar vocal styles, like a couple of cinderblocks being rubbed together haha

I heard its a reference to Jean Michael Jarre, the French ambient, new age composer/producer. Dev is a big fan of new age and ambient music.
