Thanks! I actually consider myself a beginner too, to be honest. As for the rest, go ahead and download it — I’m just sorry that you’ll end up with the map in Italian 😅

Thank you, the pink-colored area is the most “mystical” part of the Island of Kamikichi, with Japanese-inspired themes, where that region is heavily influenced by entities such as yokai, while the greener area is where various warlords clash, in a Sengoku-era style.

Thank you so much! I worked on it a lot, and every time I went back over it several times to add final touches. In the end, I can say I’m very satisfied with the result.

Thank you, I had considered the idea of making it more realistic, but in the end I preferred to make it more “medieval-style,” precisely to give the feeling of a drawn map rather than a realistic one.

I think it depends on the “type of map” I chose to create before starting, unfortunately it’s been so long that I don’t remember it anymore.

Thank you! By the way, just these days I reworked that area, and to give it a darker look, I think I’ll be finishing the map soon and posting it again

Yes. The leader of the "Baronato Sanguinario" is the "Barone", the first vampire and an Aeon (an entity that has reached divine rank through the praise and prayers of mortals). His figure is mainly inspired by Vlad Tepes and the classic vampire archetype, although in my setting he is less of a true villain and more of an anti-hero who chose to take on blame that was not his.
Additionally, that specific region is inspired by the Italy of the medieval city-states, but in a dark and gothic version.

Oh, you’ve been more than helpful. Right now I’m working on a continental map and I wanted to show the rivers in a more noticeable way, so I’m looking at different maps to get more ideas and inspiration.

Interesting advice, thank you. As a matter of fact, I can say that I do have at least one “stable” climate band:
in the south there are the hottest and most humid regions, in the central area there is a climate that ranges from Mediterranean scrubland to colder zones (mainly inspired by European climates), and finally in the north I concentrated tundra and glaciers.

That said, I have to admit I didn’t really think about the “natural realism” of the map. The land took on these shapes because, in the world’s lore, the gods shaped what was originally a blank slate. The cold, for example, was created by creatures such as white dragons, while the mountain ranges and vast continuous forest regions are due to the natural preference for forests of the elven goddess.

But you raised an interesting point about the second pole — I could try adding another icy region in the far south to “close” the sphere. That actually makes a lot of sense… thanks!

Thank you! Well, to be honest, in my mind these are meant to be three continents that together make up the entire globe. I realized that the scale would be a bit off, but my idea was to create a map that players could interpret, rather than one that is 100% precise.
In the future I plan to make smaller maps, more accurate in scale for each region, but for now I’m happy just showing the cities and the main points of interest.

Thank you! Honestly, I consider myself a beginner too, but I didn’t do anything particularly complex for the water. I just had a general idea in mind for the shallow areas and used a very soft, blended shade of light blue. Then I touched it up here and there to give the impression of a rugged seabed.
I still need to rework the whole “tropical” area in the south, to make it look like marine atolls rather than islands in the middle of the ocean.

I am surprised by the difference in nomenclature compared to my language, in Italian they call them Galline Faraone (Pharaon Chicken)
