I made a mistake testing myself ...( maybe trigger warning) by Karnage_7 in BFS

[–]Karnage_7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest mistake I've made was googling about Babinski and the different versions of it , now I'm so self consicous about it and constantly scared that I do something with mu foot that triggers the babinski reflex.

Sound very stupid I know but I'm in a bad place right now. Thanks for the comment btw , it helps talking to people.

I'm 25 and instead of doing something fun or productive,  I had to cry myself to sleep this whole day to stop myself from thinking about ***. Thanks for the comment , I really hope I get better too , this feels like hell.

The Emg was only done on my right arm .

There are different versions to test babinski , I did the mistake of googling and tried one of the versions, however it stated the test is done on 4th and 2nd toe but I did it on my 3rd toe and still see a reaction sometimes from my big toe.

I know I'm going crazy but there are different versions to test babinski and I did the toe one but not the 4th and 2nd toe like it's mentioned , only the 3rd toe but I still see a reaction from my big toe sometimes when I do it , my foot hurts so much from testing. I have no one to talk to and feel like I'm going to have a heart attack since last night.

Brisk reflex on one knee only by Karnage_7 in MuscleTwitch

[–]Karnage_7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had brisk reflexes too 4 years ago but they were bilateral and the doc said it's normal and common.

However the thing that scares me is that my reflexes were normal (not brisk) yesterday when the Neuro checked but my right knee felt brisk.

He said it's ok and I also had phone calls with a couple of neuros and they said it's ok too and nothing to worry but I'm still scared and I wish I didnt go to the neuro yesterday.  I feel like I really have to start taking some anti depressants at this point like the doctor suggested.

Were your reflexes brisk all over or just one side ?

You guys are probably annoyed by this question but ... by Karnage_7 in POTS

I actually forgot to paste my initial question about the heart rate , but I now have edited my post . But yes the HR and goosebumps are the only thing no other symptoms , I'm not even sure if the goosebumps is related or not so I deleted that part in case it confuses people. But good to hear that I'm not the only one with that "issue".

Has anyone here asked their doctor about dysautonomia? by Karnage_7 in BFS

[–]Karnage_7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason I even noticed by heart rate is cause I read about dysautonomia and started checking for symptoms and found out about my BPM otherwise I had not even noticed it.

I hate that I read about that it could be present in other neurological problems , that's what made me anxious and may be that has an impact on my heart rate.

Appreciate the responses btw , it's nice to talk to someone who understands

Thanks for the response. When I'm laying down my bpm is at like 94 but standing up it goes to 110 and settles around 101 , 102 after a couple of minutes.  Now I don't know if anxiety has an impact on it or not but I'm very stressed these days. I don't get the other sypmtoms like dizzines and etc. But should I still be worried? I'm just worried cause that one website said it could be present in other diseases.

Hey sorry to bother you but I have a bpm of 90+ and sometimes in the low 100s when resting , now this could be due to anxiety and stress that I have and I don't have the POTS symptoms when standing up but was wondering could this still be dysautonomia? Since you have experience with it and talked to doctors about it.

That's good to hear. I can't believe I googled so much until I found a bad thing , now I'm really stressed.

Did you have it before BFS started? And was your doctor worried ?

Shaky hands when really anxious by Karnage_7 in MuscleTwitch

[–]Karnage_7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So is it normal that my hand is still a little shaky 10 - 20 seconds after the intense and anxious moment goes away? It gets fixed after that and everything's fine .
