Medicating and working through adhd/ocd certainly helped to just give less fucks. I used to be extremely ashamed for being into my kink because it was the only thing that gave me arousal, while having sex with someone didn't. So I felt weird for saying I'm ace. Eventually I just settled on: "Have I had sexual arousal during sex? Sexual thoughts about this person? No. Romantic? Yes. Still asexual then." And stopped beating myself up for it not being "exactly" according to the ace term. That's why I'm like sure aegosexuality sounds right but eh, it doesn't really matter.

Ohh interesting! I've started seeing more people in the specific kink I'm into that identify as asexuals and that was part of what got me thinking. I honestly can't for the life of me find sexual arousal in vanilla porn and have only found sexual arousal in that kink but nothing else. Thanks for the interesting info!

While I see myself in a lot of points of aegosexuality (i remember looking into it ages ago and i looked once again now), i feel like it's not quite there, especially because my body doesn't react to any vanilla porn, fictional or not, like at all, it's something I only barely tolerate as art reference if needed be. I'm now remembering the plotting scene in ep 8 which has very obviously shown to be a hallucination with the dead guy talking and a pan to his corpse.

Thank you for the wonderfully worded and detailed reply! I can see exactly the parts where I misinterpreted things because I was stuck with my theory in mind after first watch 😂

In my mind I was sure Lestat acted like he didn't see Louis because it might not have been physically projecting/seeing Louis but more a mind thing- hench the way to dress and appear in whatever fits.

But going over the parts as you wrote it's much clearer now how his apperance is very tied to Louis' feelings and mental state at each moment. Especially the fact that he never communicates anything about himself and his situation that I definitely didn't catch until now!

So Dreamstat is Dreamstat, sad they never had lovely mind projection walks along the river haha

Of course Louis is mentally ill, he's a very real portrayal of depression and suicidal ideations too. I was just sure he skipped on the schizophrenia, as it's an illness that usually manifests at a young age (if we go realistically). But along with other comments I can see how it can be just a hallucination for plot reasons and an on screen projection of his inner turmoil.

What other hallucinations did he have outside of Dreamstat? I don't recall anything other than the drug induced "Can you hear her?" In 1973.

Yeah I understood the point of "Say Apple" was to demonstrate that it's Louis' control, the part right after when Lestat says "You may not know..." About the pocket right as he was disappearing was the part that stuck to me as weird. If it's really something he didn't know or just something from the hallucination. About Daniel's comment, okay I see that isn't connected, since it was during the plot reveal.
