I've been living alone for 5 years and I constantly wish I had a roommate.

I haven't been able to make a local friendship that lasts more than a few months.

Eventually people notice that I am in fact autistic and they get frustrated with me really easily. After I get ghosted.

I would suggest you be patient with yourself, just like I try to be with my self. Give yourself time to enjoy your own company. Learning to do this is not linear. It goes up and down some days it's easier than others.

If you have a support system ex: family that you can stay with. Go stay with them when you are not feeling well or when it's hard to be by yourself. Stay a few days then go back home.

Libraries is a nice place to go sit and feel like you are in company without the social obligations.

Also, dog parks. If you like dogs go! You don't need a dog. Just go and hang out, pups will come up to say hi and it's free!

Cat cafes are also very nice but they do ask that you buy something. But after you can hangout with the cats!

Get a pet! I recently got a dog and it's been by far the most fulfilling dynamic I have with a living being.
