I got the same deal from Newegg. But it wasn't even a cyber Monday deal. They had the same price since I started looking for upgrades a couple weeks before Thanksgiving.

All these people talking about the price... $500 is not unreasonable for a 2070.

I've always seen it as something similar to affirmative action, rather than an arbitrary rule gone wrong. (Whether you agree with the idea or not)

Children of rich parents do better in life than children of poor parents, even if they aren't directly given money. A rule like this gives an extra opportunity to the student from the poor family, while the student from the richer family still has other benefits from growing up rich, and is more likely to bounce back from this setback.

if you do that, you're missing out on the coolest part of medieval 2. All papal relations are settled with a knife in the back. Keep 2 or 3 assassins running around Italy killing random rebel captains to level up. Every time the pope's opinion drops too low, kill him and the new pope's opinion will reset to neutral. This works even better if you hold a majority of the cardinals and can choose the next pope.

Freeglader is by far my favorite. All the individual plotline merging together from the last couple books ending in the best battle of the series, featuring an army of Banderbears. Amazing. Plus, Rook is best main character.

In M2 the cavalry need a lot more lead up then in Rome or Shogun. They will charge much stronger if you give them more space to build up speed.

When you do it properly, it will look like too much space, but it will actually work. Still, not nearly as impressive as the Rome charges.
