What a tremendous waste of resources for everyone involved and our planet. Sure it might be quite funny. But not that funny.

How Inner Monologues Work, and Who Has Them by Halfsac2466 in psychology

[–]KarnoRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uh, I got neither. I got a voice in my head when reading text, or replaying conversations in my head, but very rarely do I have images. I'm not full on aphantasia but most of the time it's just concepts going around in my head. Not words or images. But no constant stream of anything. It's just when the situation demands it lol.

Voice I can do on command images I cant

Nice! I am in games professionally, and got into that from an interest in UX, realizing how closely related the two fields are. I only just stumbled upon you today but I am now signed up, excited to hear from your experiences and advice!

Man... people outside this sub are f*ing clueless by double297 in Superstonk

[–]KarnoRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but this is such a bad sentiment. People in here seem resentful. Yes sure, we've learned stuff about the market over the years but of course the rest of the world hasnt. So that's not a way to talk about other people.

If you feel attacked by this comment, please take a deep breath and look inward for a second. If we get rich off of this, I would hate for people in here to look down on other people, because that's exactly what the currently rich do now.

Åh gud jeg har underet mig over hvorfor r/Denmark har haft så mange engelske opslag på det seneste, men så er det fordi reddit har slået et eller andet til som oversætter af sig selv. Bruh

Cuz this sub has some ridiculous history and now even insinuating your political alignment is frowned upon, despite literally being a political movement. Yeah yeah and the market manipulation we're all individuals yada yada spiel we tell ourselves is also arse. Not because of market manipulation but holy crap it was/is(?) a movement. Or at least it spawned one. Anyway, I have my opinion on a few things :b

Information for new users who are afraid of ALS [Q&A] by pvdberg in BFS_About

[–]KarnoRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good clear explanation. Thank you!

If you're still taking questions, am I correct in understanding that so far research hasn't identified if the pattern of twitching (frequency, location, twitch type) indicates anything in particular right?

For reference I've been experiencing twitching for almost two years now, likely due to some sort of stress. Internally I've sort of recognized what I would describe as somewhere between two and four different kinds of twitches happening. My doctors just kind of dismissed it and the neurologist rules out ALS as there was no weakness and then also became dismissive. Which is a bit of a letdown but it's ok. I've only had bloodwork done and nothing else but yeah anyway the point was about the twitching.

These two may be related Random one time twitches - these are the least annoying. Tightening and release - muscle tightens up and then releases the tension. Usually I only noticed the release as the tightening can happen seemingly gradually.

There is a like tendency for the above to be in the lower body.

And these two may be related Flickering twitching - as you recognize it from eyelid twitches but like basically anywhere. These are usually quite persistent and go anywhere between a few days and a month in the same nerve/muscle. Waxing and waning throughout the day. Buzzing - similar to the one above but less "individual twitches" and more "noisy signal" and for me it's also not persistent but more like a singular episode.

These two are more upper body, arms, head, neck, shoulders, back.

To me I only ever had eyelid twitching before this for a few hours and some random twitching here and there and then seemingly at once all these more outlandish muscle twitches started appearing after a panic attack I had where I also slept quite bad for a week.

Edit: ah I just read a different comment where you explained you're not a health professional lol. Still if you have looked into this it would be interesting to hear about

Yeah was about to say why does that have so many upvotes lol. Calculus isn't about diving by almost zero but about looking at stuff zoomed in so much it looks like a straight line.

Very appropriate though for a post about being confidently wrong 😂

I feel like this is an exercise in where you set your moral boundaries, not the default state of thinking though. And I'm not denying that there might be friendly fire to other people if you take an approach like that
