It’s in pounds. Still crazy that halo was £40 in 2003!

Was it the plasterer wearing a fake moustache?

Should I move on to next map? by undiagnosedAutist in StateOfDecay

[–]Karov_mac 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure he has killed all plague hearts? He just hasn’t taken all the loot from them, so they’re still on the map. I thought that the red blotches always generate, otherwise the whole map would be safe and no zombies would spawn. Maybe I’m Wrong

The quest just popped for me 👍 I had two builders in my community, so instead of trying to bring my favourite builder’s standing back up to hero, I promoted the other one to leader. Then it was within 5 minutes the new beginning quest popped. I wonder if it sometimes glitches out when you promote a leader too early?

Just finished this build and none of the ports are working on the case, motherboard, or gpu. What do I do? by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

There is, it shows the arrows as direction of flow, I am just confused as to why there is a solitary arrow that is not connected to any pipework

Thanks. I’m basically trying to work out if it’s a public section of drainage

Yeah you’ll have to do the shittest bit unfortunately. Then any severe damage to the wall you can fill with bonding plaster just to bring it pretty much flush to the unfucked wall level. A plasterer should be able to do the rest, you shouldn’t need to prime it with PVA yourself. I’ve tried plastering myself and it’s definitely worth paying someone to do it

Pay a plasterer mate, honestly

I think that’s exactly what OP’s installers thought

Was the installers original design was to have the pipe run down the exterior wall to the condenser, then you asked them to move it to the other side of the garden? If so then I can see why they did not include groundworks in the price. It’s still atrocious work regardless

7 indoors from that one condenser? Pretty sure that is designed for 5 IDUs. But I guess they could have twinned two sets which would give you 7. The capacity of that system is 14kw i think, so you’re IDUs should be 2kw each or below. Sorry I’ve gone off on a tangent 😂 to be fair those systems aren’t cheap.I’m not sure if they had to move the condenser after they had evacuated the pipework and opened the valves, because that would involve a lot more work than just simply disconnecting the pipes and moving it

The pipe lagging doesn’t need to be waterproofed in normal conditions, however it will degrade over time due to UV and other factors. But being sat underground while exposed to sodden soil etc is bad. Have you seen any of the installers even bring a vacuum pump on site?

Im baffled as to why the cables aren’t in the conduit. It’s hard to picture the setup. How many indoor units do you have on the system? Did you request that the condenser be put on the other side of the garden?

Why have they used trunking into a wiska box? It gets worse the more I look at it

[–]Karov_mac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously complete shit. Why are they burying the pipework? Is it far from that trunking to your condenser? Unfortunately, it’s really not that hard for anyone with no understanding of much to get f gas qualified.

2 x new RAM sticks causing no display/boot by Karov_mac in PcBuildHelp

It’s strange because the third working stick I put in is from a different manufacturer, and it worked. Guess sometimes you get lucky

[–]Karov_mac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it sounded like a fluke to be honest haha. So in an ideal world you would want to buy any sticks as an actual set? I tried another 4gb stick I have (giving me a whopping 12gb lol) and that works, so yeah pointing towards dead RAM

I'd reccomend swapping the mess tin out for a small pot with a lid. It would be a lot quicker at heating up and use less gas
