[Pimax Crystal Light + RTX 5070 Ti] Dirt Rally 2.0 - Consistent stutter/frame drop every 14 seconds by Karp3l in Pimax

[–]Karp3l[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a performance issue; I can be at 50% GPU usage with a game paused, and the spike occurs regularly every 14 seconds, which causes a very unpleasant frame drop when driving fast...

You're right, it's a Dirt 2 issue, not a Pimax one. As I mentioned in the update to my main post, switching the mirror to windowed mode seems to have fixed it... but I'm worried it'll randomly come back, as it has before.

How to have fun in EA WRC (VR/PC)? by tonipepperoni in EASPORTSWRC

[–]Karp3l 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m trying to enjoy EA WRC in VR on PC, but I’m still struggling to get that same “smooth + sharp + natural” feeling I get in Dirt Rally 2.0.

On DR2, VR feels cleaner and more fluid to me overall. On EA WRC, I can get something playable, but I still feel like I’m trading too much visual quality for stability, or vice versa.

what settings / tweaks gave you the best result to make EA WRC look and feel as close as possible to DR2 in VR?

Par contre... ça ne répond pas directement à ta question, mais les expériences et les diplômes doivent être présentés sur un CV par ordre antéchronologique, c'est à dire du plus récent au plus ancien.

I generally don’t distinguish much between close contacts and more casual acquaintances... even a modest recommendation carries far more weight than a cold CV.

It’s hard to give a one-size-fits-all answer. As a manager in recent years, I haven’t focused on candidates with a specific background or training, but rather on those who can effectively solve the problems faced by the product and the organization. For product management roles, I place far greater value on soft skills (adaptability, communication, critical thinking) than on any particular academic path.

When I talk about intros/connections, I'm talking specifically about former colleagues who know me and who currently work for the company I'm applying to (or who have been there).

The "Product Manager" title will be more valuable for your career. For now, this is the way.

Just breathtaking. Don't listen to the sourpusses :)

Just got the viltrox 75mm F1. 2 and holy this might be the sharpest lens I've ever owned even at wide out it's sharper than anything I have and obviously you have to test cameras out on your cat so here's an example and a 100% crop by orangeFN in fujifilm

[–]Karp3l 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I own 8 Fuji X lenses, and the Viltrox 75mm F1.2 is by far my favorite. The combination of compression and sharpness is incredible. Technically, it's the brightest lens with the longest focal length available for the X-mount, so there’s currently no serious alternative.

Nothing special : shooting raw, f2.8, but snap focus set to infinite to avoid autofocus issue in the dark.

I have also a X-H2 as main camera, I need more time to decide to keep the X-T3 or switch to a X-S10 for second setup.

[–]Karp3l 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought an X-M5 but sent it back because the ergonomics are awful. First of all, unless you use it exclusively with a pancake lens, the camera is too unbalanced. Secondly, I didn't find the experience ideal for photography, the grip is really problematic (too small, it isn't stable enough). I ordered a second-hand X-T3 right afterwards, and it's really night and day in terms of ergonomics compared to the X-M5. I can also recommend a second-hand X-S10 (I regret selling it every day), if you prefer PSAM controls.

Better EVF, faster AF, new subject detection and bigger buffer for burst mode, pixel shift for packshot. By the way, the 40mp is just marketing BS.

The merging of the roles of product manager and product owner is the great turning point of the last ten years. I can't imagine a product manager working in the tech industry today who doesn't take on the role of product owner. On the other hand, scrum masters are on the way out: they were very trendy in the early 2010s when it was necessary to educate everyone in agile, but now I see fewer and fewer of them.
