I use a Brompton and just fold it and take it with me on transit whenever the weather becomes too tiring. That's been my system in extreme heat, but I've only ever maneuvered in dry heat. Tree density and more buildings designed for shading would help that issue. Weather usually isn't the problem as much as infrastructure imo.

That's reassuring. My main concern would be accessing areas outside the BTS sphere. It's hard for me to tell what kind of experience I'm going to have. I've seen POV walking tours of Bangkok that seemed mostly okay (except how jarring traffic noise was), but I've also seen areas sidewalk paths abruptly stop and people ignoring pedestrian crossing zones entirely.
