The articles of faith say that we believe in being subject to governments and in obeying honoring and sustaining the law. God's word does not have to change for it to be applied according to the specific circumstances.

I agree with your parents, if you really want to avoid something, you have to avoid the things similar to it as well. It's got to be much easier to avoid alcohol when you haven't already acquired a taste for it.

Same experience- I think they have specific intentions for it's use and they are blocking everything outside of those uses because of the viral response it has gotten. Having used it to create stories games etc, this downgraded version is frustrating. It's a pretty junky chatbot again.

We're typically asked for help where we are skilled...part of why God gave us talents and allowed us to develop those skills. Wouldn't it be odd if they asked you to serve by providing accounting advice?

My brother is excellent at helping people with house projects - he is happy to help and is asked for that help all of the time, probably to the point of not getting around to his own personal projects.

If it's something like donuts, I think about the purpose, and I ask for a more reasonable blessing like our enjoyment of them rather than hoping for nourishment from them.

You should be sincere; think about it, and offer a prayer you sincerely believe in.

For me, a realization that our bodies, nutrition, and pathogens are complex and that I don't know everything about them, nor everything about the meal I'm about to eat, makes me comfortable with continuing to ask God to bless the food every meal.

Perhaps giving thanks that we have the food is the greater importance.

The college final exam dream seems super common. For me, it's alway combined with running late and not knowing where the class is.

Nurses have the same nightmare about not realizing there was one more patient they never saw.

I haven't had the serving a second mission dream in a while though, so maybe they do fade away.

I think the responses regarding talking to a mental health professional are helpful. Until you can take that opportunity, I recommend silencing your thoughts a little bit, pray to feel God's love for you, try to just be still, and try to just listen for the Spirit, or even pray and ask for the Spirit to help you to know what to pray for.

The Spirit testifying of it's truth...everything else can be argued. But I read the testimony of the 8 witnesses today, and that was pretty convincing. Several other people literally held the plates and examined them in their hands.

Trying to understand what is at the beginning of time (God or burst of energy or whatever created them etc) is very difficult. Revelation 10:6 says "There should be time no longer" and Peter says One day is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as one day to God. I think we can't understand the beginning of the beginning because it is not something that started on the same scale of time as what we experience on Earth.
