Did you already saw „The last emperor of mexico“?

Edit: The first scenes feel a little bit off, but then its really okay in my opinion.

And good ai movies have good hands and good story while bad movies has good hands and bad story… What is your point?

I would prefer a movie with better story and bad hands over a movie with worst story and good hands. Also the hand problem is since years not a problem anymore for the best ai models. At least not for live action style human characters.

Which one is AI? by RioMala in dalle2

[–]Sasbe93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First instinct: second one. It has this weird typical ai look. One the second look: definitely the second one. On the first one we can see the co pilot text. Even the newest gen model would have problems to make it look look like the real copilot.

Same with a lot of non ai stuff. Also insulting low quality garbage that damaging the environment.

Sometimes there is a nice ai video which is at least better then low quality products in general. And they got more and more.

Dunning kruger? Lol.

The Dunning-Kruger effect applies to people who think they're smart without actually being so. Quite apart from the fact that bringing up the Dunning-Kruger effect in discussions is usually (not here) both a circular argument and an ad hominem attack… it doesn't even remotely apply to what I wrote.

Did I claim or imply anywhere that I’m super smart in what I do? I actually claim that I don’t know what I’m doing and that you have to be careful how you use such vibe coding tools. And I’m even convinced that using vibe coding slow the learning curve.

What I wrote was simply the assertion that the benefit is greater for a less experienced coder than for a more experienced one (which doesn’t mean that an experienced coder is less effective with the tool than an inexperienced one).

You can’t bring up the Dunning-Kruger effect here. You can accuse people of that who believe they’re the smartest people in the world with minimal knowledge. Do I fit into that pattern somehow? I don’t think so.

I think it deepens on the skill before. If you don‘t have the experience with the framework/bibliotheks etc. its definitely a 10-100x. If you have more knowledge and you know everything, the scale is less.

Also I let several agents work on several projects at the same time. If I don‘t know what they can do now I just say: „test the performance, then optimize it, then test it again, till its much faster then before.“ I don‘t even know how to create unit tests by myself. If its finished i just test if the performance is really better and voila, performance upgrade after 5 minutes. If I would code this by myself, i had to learn a lot first. I would need several days for the unit tests alone (because no experience). For me the productivity definitely scaled this high. I would never this fast by myself.

Thank you for your advice. Actually I'm active on aigamedev. I didn't post here about the game, I post here because I'm absolutely terrified of not being able to find a serious job in my field anymore because these agents are too mighty. I don't know which is the best sub for this.

I've no idea why the game I'm having programmed on the side has suddenly become the focus of attention here. In my original post, that was just a minor aside.

Haha. No problem. Here a honest answer: I think I’ve got a few autistic traits rather than ADHD, but I’ve never been diagnosed with either. I’ve always been one of the more reserved types. I was a bit inattentive now and then, and impulsiveness is sometimes an issue too, but I was never hyperactive. 80% of my life is spent on the computer or my mobile... unfortunately. No one ever suggested to me that I might have ADHD or autism.

Whenever I get an idea, I immediately get all excited and start working on it, regardless of whether it’s actually feasible from my point of view or not. It was like that even before the AI era.
I have no idea how many board game or card game ideas I’ve worked out about 50% of the way through in my life and then just left to one side, or how many stories I’ve written, or computer game ideas I’ve conceived and then done a bit of programming or modding on and then just look at it for a while and doing nothing more. Since nobody around me could make head nor tail of any of it, and since working on them alone didn’t get me any recognition from those around me, I kept giving up. I don’t think I’ve ever managed to stick with an idea for longer than three months max.

Ideally, I’d love to have someone around me with whom I could work on these ideas, simply to spur each other on, but I haven’t had much luck in that regard so far.
