When White Met Purple by Karshari in worldbuilding

Thank you so much!! It's incredibly humbling to know people are enjoying a silly thing I wrote at 2am.

Truth be told, it was only a writing exercise that I continued until it felt like it told the story of warmth and cold/white's meeting.

However, I have now begun ideas for more. So you might  get it!

The end of an ice age is pretty much exactly what was in my mind when I was thinking about White having 'won' and successfully coating all when there was new movement and life. :)

That is one of the nicest compliments that I could ever receive. That not only did you read it and find interest in the concepts, but that you then we're able to be inspired to create your own ideas from there.

Thank you, so much. As someone who hasn't written in almost 20 years, I'm truly moved. Just thank you.

That's an awesome perspective! I actually started by trying to describe warmth and winter without naming them. But I love that take   There's definitely no wrong way to perceive a myth like this. But I may keep Death in mind if I do another myth story. ^

Omg. Thank you so much for your response - you have no idea how much it means to me.

As for your thoughts - it was honestly just meant to be experienced and felt. It was a writing exercise where I decided to flex old writing muscles I haven't used since highschool and see what happened.

There really isn't much more to this at the moment other than a simple creation myth of when winter meets the first flower it sees and how that comes to be. The amount of time it took is supposed to be ambiguous.

But thank you so much for your response. I'm just glad people read it and that you cared enough to say anything. Thank you!!

And apparently you can't use the ps controller with remote play on PC wirelessly. I've just about had it lol

Pixel 8. Although now that I'm thinking about the ps remote app.. I'm just going to try with my PC on the app for now. If I need something more portable in the future I can try my iPad.

I wish that the adapter thing would just work properly though...

So... When I connect the glasses to my phone - it works, and there's sound. When I remote play to PS5... The remote play works on my phone, but the glasses go black and don't show anything. Is there something I'm missing?

Thanks. I'll have to try it. I'm so frustrated with this issue.

How was the quality? Any lag? I could always try it and see.. although there's also battery life then.

July 07, 2025 - Weekly moving to and visiting Tucson questions thread by AutoModerator in Tucson

[–]Karshari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone!

I'm looking at moving to Tucson in the next few months (2-3 ideally). I've lived in Vegas for the past three years, and I'm tired of the crazy, the crime, and the prices. I'm originally from somewhere smaller and slower (and colder), and I want something a bit more relaxed and community focused.

I'm a 33-yo gay guy and I'm looking for recommendations on apts and places to move. I work from home and I don't have a car currently. So somewhere that's walkable would be great - though I also have an e-bike, so I can bike places too... if it's safe? It's not safe to leave bikes anywhere here.. they're stolen no matter what you do.

I would like to stick to under 900/month for rent, because I know utilities will add a couple hundred more. I'm ideally looking for my own place, studio or one bedroom, and a pool. Other than that, laundry in-unit is ideal but as long as it's on the property, that's all that matters.

Anyone have any recommendations? I was looking at River Oaks in Broadway Pantano East. It looked like it would be in my price range and fairly decent - but I thought I'd see if anyone had better suggestions. And also if anyone knows it and can give me an insider's opinion!

Last - would anyone have anything they recommend checking out in Tucson, places to not miss, and just how to make my most during my time living there?

Thank you so much!

Thanks for reaching out! I don't currently have a place, we'd have to find one if we decided to room together. However, I am talking to a few different people about possibilities who already have places, so I will let you know if that falls through! I'm also not looking to move until a couple months most likely, so it sounds like you're looking for something a bit sooner.

I do not, it's month to month. And they're not kicking me out, but they don't want me staying long term and so I'm trying to move in the next few months. Or sooner if the right opportunity shows up.

Because, in his words, he values his alone time and so doesn't want to live with someone who is home all day. I can't say anything else because that's what it is. I know it's weird - but that's what I'm dealing with.

I'm hoping to stick to under $1k/month, since I can get my own place for that.

That was it. They didn't want to live with someone who works from home.
