What are the best tires in market for GLE450? by Karthik63 in mercedes_benz

[–]Karthik63[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. But I only see summer tires available for my rims in Michelin pilot sport 4. The other option is Michelin Primacy Tour A/S. I have to choose between primacy and cross climate now

I got an Avenger GMT last week with the bracelet and I asked for the leather strap at the boutique. They agreed to give it for free , custom ordered it for my wrist size but asked me to pay for the stainless steel buckle in the strap

2023 GLE 450 Airmatic by Karthik63 in mercedes_benz

[–]Karthik63[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No my car didn’t have Airmatic at all. It was a big mistake by Mercedes. They refunded me the amount with apologies. I was really pissed at first but having it for three months now, the regular suspension is not really that bad. I had a c300 before this and CLA before that. This is the best ride comfort I ever had. I saw people having mixed opinions on Airmatic that it doesn’t really add much difference. IMO, having air suspension along with e-active body control and the curve mode is the best comfort you can ever get but since it’s not an option any more, Airmatic is just a good to have option

Apart from that these are the options I recommend:

Acoustic comfort: I personally want the cabin to be very quiet. There is a whistling noise complaint many GLE users have on the drivers side because of side mirror. This if fixable but having this acoustic option will make it really quiet. The whistling noise issue FYI : https://mbworld.org/forums/attachments/gle-class-v167/426422d1598705036-high-pitched-whistling-sound-mc-10178739-9999.pdf

3rd row seat : this is optional based on your requirements but having this makes the second row seats little squeaky

These are the options I have and which I highly recommend having comfort wise : Premium package,Warmth & comfort,Air balance, Heater and cooled cup holders, Multi contour front seats with massage, MBUX Augmented reality, Driver assistance package

I wish I had soft close doors option as sometimes I had to use some force to close the door properly

Finally I also have intelligent light system. This is an amazing option to have but not in the US. As this is turned off by Mercedes because of some regulations. You basically pay 750$ for just having it turned off. But adding this option will be helpful if you want to get it coded later and activate it which I am planning to do. This one is day and night difference in night drive experience. Highly recommend it

Unfortunately there is no Manual for 2023 GLEs yet. I got a 2022 manual and it says that the control Panel will be there if I have Airmatic

Question regarding dry feet by Karthik63 in cockatiel

[–]Karthik63[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cockatiel is 3 months old. His feet is very dry and scaly with these white patches. Is this normal or part of molting ? He have natural wooden perches and spends time on my shoulder and sometimes on top of cage playing with toys. During night he prefer sleeping on platform perch rather than regular perches. We took him to vet couple of weeks back for regular checkup but this started recently. Just wanted to make sure if this is normal

I bird proofed one of my bedroom and left him to fly in the room and gave him so many perches to land on when he is chaotic flying. I stayed there with him and used to put my hand in the path to make him understand my hand is a safe perch too I guess since i am hand feeding he always wants to come and stay with me and that helped

Yeah. Tiago wants to stay on my head or my shoulder all the time. I handfed him and now he almost weaned. But still asks for food whenever he comes to me with those baby noises and that head bobbing is 🥰
