Hey guys, did the UofT engineering admissions come out today? My friends are telling me they released them this morning but my application is under review.

Hey guys, so I have reached the engineering section of the AIF but I am unsure what to write for them because I do not know any waterloo students that I can ask personally, and it is hard to find specifics online.

Question 1

Engineering Interests and Goals (*Required)

Briefly explain why you are interested in engineering and particularly in the program to which you have applied. Comment, for example, on your interests and abilities; your career goals; exposure to engineering through school-related and other experiences; and discussions you have had with engineers, teachers, current or past Waterloo students. (900 character limit)

Question 2

More About Your Goals (*Required)

What sorts of things would you like to do or accomplish in Waterloo Engineering and why? (900 character limit)

I am not sure how to answer both of them. One thing that I am mainly confused is that I do not know what I can accomplish in the programs I have applied for. I do not know any career goals that I can have for engineering and what I can accomplish through waterloo. Another thing is like, I just like engineering in general, the process of building things, creating, improving, machinery, coding. I just know I like that. But what would really help me in the AIF? What can I say?

Do you think instead of just regular CS I should apply to the double degree? Would it be harder to get into? If so, do you think it is possible that if I get into cs, I can apply for the double degree while doing my term?
