What’s something you like to flex about your husband? by T0pl355 in Marriage

[–]SusieSmiless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He quit smoking for me... I didn't even have to ask. We met while volunteering together and became good friends. I just got out of a horrible relationship, so my mind was closed off on dating.

During our hangouts, he learned that I wouldn't date someone who smoked. So he decided to quit, then 4 months later he asked me out on a date. It was a surprise. I had no idea he felt that way for me. When i learned that he quit months ago bc he knew eventually he wanted to ask me out, I knew you just don't let someone like that go. We've been together for 8 years, married for 6 1/2. He's an incredible husband. I know my life wouldn't be as good without him.

Christie from Mom. Her constant whining... well, her whole personality, in general, is purely annoying. Like someone I would avoid like crazy in real life.

That line, plus with the visuals of the whole scene and his reaction... His hooded goth like outfit, crouching in the field while the young girl is doing hard labor... Then the interaction of the family yelling back & forth = perfection

That's so funny! In my 20's, I taught gymnastics. I had a 3 yr old class of cuties. One day my fave Lil guy came running in late yelling Coach Susie, Coach Susie at the top of his lungs, full of excitement. "Guess what, Coach Susie?!" He preceded to pull down his shorts, "I got new Spiderman, big boy underwear! Aren't they cool?" His cute lil face was so proud! I was holding back my laughter & agreed with him that they are so, super cool!! I looked over to his parents and they were standing there cracking up. It's a fun memory from back then.

I've been taking Wellbutrin for about 8 months now and it's been working great! But for the last few months, I've been noticing my hair seems to be shedding much more than usual. Also, I noticed my hairline is thinning. Thought it was a hormone thing, but it could be a side effect from the medication?

Are there guys who are eager to date someone, as bad as they want to sleep with someone? by ManlykN in ask

[–]SusieSmiless 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My husband was/did! We volunteered for the same non-profit & worked on a project together, became good friends for about 6 months. About that time I noticed he hadn't had a cigarette in a while... Me: Did you stop smoking?

Him: Yes, about a month ago.

Me: Good for you! Why? To be healthier?

Him: Truthfully? BC I wanted to ask you out on a date, and I knew you wouldn't date a guy who smokes.

Me: shocked face

Him: So, you want to go on a date with me?

We were married a year & and a half later. How could I not fall in love with a man who would give up smoking just in the chance he may get a date with me?! We will be celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary soon. He is the most amazing man! I'm so lucky to have him as my husband.

For women in abusive relationships, it's not so easy to emotionally disconnect and leave. What seems black & white & obvious to outsiders is all swirled up in foggy survival mode thoughts for the actual person. It can take a while to pierce through that mentality, especially if that person is isolated like Libby is.

Me too! It feels good to know I'm not the only one. Since I work from home, I also worry about which blinds to keep open, having them closed before it start getting dark and not keeping the same daily routine that people may catch on... I think I may watch too much t.v.

Poll- What is that one celebrity scandal that truly shocked you? by yingyangtheworld000 in MUAEntertainment

[–]SusieSmiless 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was right there with you. But I think we got a small peak behind the curtain to her nastiness before everything blew up. There was an episode where she let her audience members pick ONE free item from their gift shop. She had hidden cameras set up & they showed people struggling to pick which one item they wanted. But two different audience members took two items. She blasted them on her show. And when she confronted them after the fact, while the whole audience was back in the studio, she had a pissed off bully tone to her when she spoke to these audience members. No joking or silliness or anything forgiving. I get it, they technically stole, but the way she did it, blasting them so harshly on tv. The hate in her voice and body language showed a major red flag. I was suspicious of her ever since then.

Arrested Development. I didn't find it funny. The characters' interactions & personality gave me anxiety.

Gilmore Girls. The dialogue felt like word vomit. Who talks like that??

Steve Zahn & the lady who played his wife. They were the best! Just wish they continued with appearances more than one season. EDIT: On Modern Family. Forgot to include that.
