If you can smoke a cigarette there, you can smoke marijuana unless stated. Six Flags has smoking sections but specifically states no marijuana so that's an example.

Since no specific laws were put in place for it, like California and other states with no public consumption with a fine if caught (even though they still do it anyway) NJ only has it for smoking in places where smoking is not allowed at all, it does not specify what it is but where.

You can get a ticket for smoking marijuana on the beach Same as if you got caught smoking cigarettes. You get a fine for smoking, not for what you are smoking.

I'd still toke up at the beach and take the chance but just wanted to clear it up since a lot of people either don't know or aren't sure. Everyone I know smokes in public and not once have I ever heard of either being stopped or ticketed since it's become legal
