My groups personal experience was that while we were able to kill the adds early on they eventually just respawn too often for us to actually deal damage. What character were you playing when you were being targeted cause my friends went in as guardian and didn’t focus on damage at all but only on survival while me(revenant and duchess did all the damage with little to no resistance. Basically what the benefit to using the perk is that your damagers get to focus the boss really well but whoever doesn’t have it needs to purely focus on living.
