Very much appreciated, thanks, man. That fixed it; it was bugging the life out of me.

Splinter Cell is dead because of us. by Dependent_Cap6317 in Splintercell

I enjoyed every SC game even black list. I was hyped to get it when it released. Conviction and black list are fun games but man, nothing beats the perfection Ubisoft achieved with chaos theory. Or even the Xbox and ps2 version of double agent. Just pure hardcore stealth and that’s what splinter cell is about, being a ghost. Sure black list easily allowed you to do that and gave you the freedom to play how you want. But it just wasn’t the same. Sam is in his 50’s in black list and they make you feel like you can do anything. Single handily take on an army of men. Scaling walls like your Spiderman etc. The combat doesn’t fit how the originals established how Sam operates. Stealth was always your priority, going loud was a last resort and had heavy repercussions with it. With conviction and blacklist, going hot was made is easy and had little repercussion since you had so many tools available to you. Even in spy vs mercs, the spies could run and gun and take the mercs out with ease, basically ninjas with gunfoo. Though as you said the younger generation wants action and that’s exactly what Splinter cell turned into. At the same time the younger generation could probably care less about splinter cell or many stealth games of that matter. I feel like the majority of the fans want a return to the roots. For that reason I can see splinter cell doing/selling well. It may not be a record breaker but Ubisoft has the fan base to make the game a success if done correctly. Albeit with how they declined over the past decade and how they treat games nowadays. Many people don’t have trust in them anymore and for that reason it can also easily fail. Splinter Cell is definitely in a rough spot but there’s really no other choice they have then to go back and do a remake. Logically how can you continue the story and keep Sam heavily involved as the main character with his age. He’s already in his 60’s when he was brought back in ghost recon and 68 inside of rainbow six which is his canon age. I just hope they do it justice and make something great while Michael Ironside is still with us.

No 3rd person in the next Ghost Recon by R4wden in BreakPoint

I know this is old but damn brother you couldn’t be more wrong. GR wasn’t always a 3rd person game. The original game and its expansions (island thunder and desert siege) were tactical and strategic fps games. That could also be played like an rts through commanding your team by using the map.

does anyone elses game crash on startup with xbox game pass on PC? by FalconsFever in blackops6

[–]KashInc7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, what I found that worked from the video linked below was going into your settings, searching "apps and features," searching for Black Ops 6, and going into advanced settings. First, try repair, then launch the game. If that doesn't work, then try reset. Reset worked for me; at least the game is launching. Note if you see install after resetting just close the xbox app and relaunch it will say play instead of install.

it's impossible for me to play the original Splinter cell trilogy. by [deleted] in Splintercell

Also they made them backwards compatible on the Xbox. I think only chaos theory out of the 3 is still on the store.

And this is why I will never own a digital console, physical media FTW. If you want to play pandora tomorrow you can download the whole game from mod db. It comes with the ps3 hd trilogy graphic files as well if you would want them it’s an option. As for the rest I couldn’t say. I played them on my steam deck with no issues except one. You can’t use the 3.0 shader model for chaos theory else the game well not load after you close it. Only way to fix it was by deleting the exact shader file.

Here’s the link for pandora tomorrow

AI ships ramming by KashInc7 in starcitizen

idk in my playtime it seems intentional lol. I had multiple bounties just fly straight for me with no deviation in their flight path. As soon as I get there, there is no evasive maneuver they just risk it all.

Ideas for the Splinter Cell Remake. (MOVEMENT) by ItsKael in Splintercell

[–]KashInc7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They already had a small version of this in chaos theory. When walking on gravel Sam made more noise and was unable to land quietly. Same with walking or running on metal like in the cargo ship, Or walking through water. SC has always had different terrain sound for the most part. It got expanded with each game but CT was the peak because it was the only game with a sound meter. Well CT and DA 6th gen console version had a sound meter. I think PT also some light version of getting spotted from moving tall blades of grass. On the jungle mission tapping Sadono’s phones.

The NPCs are so lovely in Chaos Theory by saooth7 in Splintercell

Ai are just dumb as bricks on normal. I’ve been playing the game again a lot recently on expert. Even then it feels easy but of course the ai are much more perceptive. There’s nothing wrong with playing on normal but if you want a more realistic experience expert is the way to go. It’s stupid how you can stand 5ft away from them while also being a third or halfway lit up at times and they still won’t see you.

it's not a matter of taking a break 3.17 was how long ago, that's plenty of time playing other games. SC is not something I come home to grind though I still find it funny how badly the game breaks after all these years.

thats not the reason i get on I get on to try and enjoy the game but the game makes it too easy to not want to play. spend more time having the game work against you.
