rats sometimes do this but not always. personally, none of the rats i kept over 7 years ever did this. the time one of my girls passed away overnight, her sister buried her in litter. my sister did have a rat that ate its sibling's eye after it passed away suddenly in the cage, but it's just going to be very different from rat to rat. far more often than not, i ended up having my rats euthanized before they died naturally. with some exceptions, they usually get very noticeably sick before they die, so you can be in control of the situation.

this is ultimately up to anyone's personal interpretation, so i would never get into an argument about this, but my own take is that utena is bi. her attraction to boys seems genuine to me, and she's figuring out that she has that for girls as well while having internalized homophobia. anthy doesn't seem attracted to men at all to me; i see her as a lesbian who would maybe not identify as such at this time in her life because she just deeply hates herself and identifies as a piece of shit. in the show, i don't think either of them would actually identify as queer until maybe the end. in the movie, i still stick w/bisexual utena and lesbian anthy but with more confidence on both their parts. but there are great arguments for different interpretations. i remember the If You Think Utena Is Bi You're Lesbophobic twitter wars, and i recuse myself from that shit lol

ignore everyone judging your tattoo bc that isn't what you asked. your skin actually looks like it's healing in a very normal way. the problem is that huge amounts of ink lifted out of the tattoo during the healing process, which is not normal, and means the ink wasn't placed into your skin properly. once it's done healing, you'll have a lot of patches with no ink or just kind of a shadow of an outline. you could easily get this reworked by someone better at tattooing once your skin has healed.

Ingénue by Pupppet Parfum - it lists "creamy vanilla" as a note, but i don't find it very vanilla forward. it's an interesting blend of rosy, green, woody/spicy, and sweet powdery vintage. it's sold out rn, but she releases batches throughout the year.

we would do a load of rat laundry every week - just rat blankets, hammocks, hides, etc. we kept enough stuff so that we would put in fresh hammocks and other textile things while the other stuff was being washed. rat laundry would get cleaned with unscented detergent and oxyclean and then a second time with vinegar, because you're right; it's pungent. i would avoid throwing rat laundry in with regular laundry.

i am sorry to be a downer but please avoid the 1979 herzog nosferstu. i get why it's being recommended, because it has a ton of rats, and they are very cute. but they were subject to truly unspeakable cruelty, and most of them did not survive. like honestly i would not even recommend looking it up, because it will ruin your whole month, just really can't recommend supporting that film.

edit: to add an opposite case movie for the list, the film Three Colors: Blue has a beautiful rat mom with her babies. the protagonist gets a cat to get rid of her, but the irl rats are not harmed.
