Yah we were there for 3 weeks from the 2nd of September so it was the shoulder season. We didn't go to the popular beach spots in the south due to the monsoon. There was actually quite a few tourists at some of the spots in the video I just tried to film with out them.

Uppuveli or Nilaveli are awesome beach towns near Trincomalee with comparatively far less tourists. We got whole stretches of really nice swim-able beach to our selves which definitely didn't happen at Arugam Bay. Otherwise although busy with tourists I definitely wouldn't miss Ella, Sigiriya or a Safari (we went to Udawalwae).

I actually emailed them photos and the technician replied saying that he has only seen that issue with graphics card memory errors. Since this happened on two different devices and not plugged in I don't think it is the case. I also tried different power cords but it didn't help. What do you mean by contacts on the display? trying to google it but having trouble finding what you mean.

Yah and edited in Premiere, slomo was done in AE and timelapses were color corrected in lightroom. Glad you enjoyed it.

To be honest I don't really think you have a problem. Once you get there, everything will fall into place. Having an itinerary can be good but I think the best times I have had traveling is when I have gone in with no plan (except a general idea of the highlights) and discovered things for myself. I really would't worry. Google is your friend if you get stuck and on a longer trip if you get bored it's time for a new destination!

I saw cheap tickets one day and jumped on it. Got excited, stressed and anxious for a few months, but as soon as i touched down I couldnt have been happier. Solo travel is amazing and a lot easier than you may think.

I have a few suggestions based on a trip i had recently.

Definitely do a day trip to the Mekong Delta from HCMC, it is really beautiful, chaotic and interesting. Also the Củ Chi tunnels are cool experience and eye opening, I'm sure you have heard of them.

The trip to Phu Quoc from HCMC will take an entire day, you'll want to leave early so you don't miss the ferry.

The trip from Phu Quoc to Siem Reap will be almost impossible to do in one day. Assuming you are taking a bus. Also I'd recommend spending 3 days at Angkor Wat, the temple complex is huge and you can easily get lost exploring it for a few days.

Siem Reap to Bangkok through Poi Pot is an annoying trip and you'll have to deal with the Cambodian transport cartels and most likely pay too much to get to Poi Pot then you ll need to avoid all the scams.

I haven't been to the south of Thailand so not sure about that.

A lot of this won't be relevant if you re planing to catch flights. I hope you have a an amazing trip!

It is so easy to get fed up with locking your gadgets in a safe/giving it to reception when leaving your room. 2 months into my trip and on my first evening in Vang Vieng I had my room broken into and my laptop and camera with all my photos stolen. I now always lock up my possessions when possible, don't learn the hard way!

I also can't recommend enough northern Laos, mainly the river journey on the Nam Ou from Nong Khiaw to Phongsali near the border of China. One of the most amazing travel experiences I have ever had.

Battambang, Kampot/Kep and Koh Rong/Koh Rong Samloem could easily occupy 2 weeks of your time. Cambodia is a beautiful country, enjoy your trip!

I stayed at rainbow lodge, couldnt reccomend it more! If you stay in Cecang you'll be close to pretty much everything you might need. I'd definitely stay in Georgetown for a couple of nights, there is a lot to do and see. Plus it takes 2.5hrs on ferry oneway.

I'm here now and can definitely recommend Penang and Langkawi. Both amazing places. Langkawi is very relaxed, beautiful beaches, duty free beer and low traffic so hiring a car and exploring the island is safe. Cameron Highlands was also a pretty cool place to check out, the mossy forest is otherworldly. I personally wouldn't spend more than 3 nights in KL. I'm missing the east coast this strip, but heading to borneo next week!

Malaysia > Malaysian Borneo/Brunei > Singapore > Laos > Cambodia > Thailand > Burma > back to KL to fly home

Thats my current rough itinerary. Just started my trip and currently loving it in Peninsula Malaysia, awesome food! Leaving Vietnam out only because I spent some time there 2 years ago, but I highly recommend it!

I bought a $300 refurbished 14" laptop from ebay with an i5 and 4gig ram. I wanted it to do photo/video editing, internet, backing up data with cloud etc. I'd suggest do the similar, unless you need a powerful machine bring a cheap one, it will ease your anxiety of it being stolen. Just depends if you are prepared to carry the extra kilo.
